    One of the joys of hand built cars. The clam is fitted to the headlight buckets so we need to move the bucket over towards the grill then reduce the gap on the outer edges.

    Time consuming but it has to be correct. I have another boxer in the shop now that had the front lid replaced and they didn't bother addressing the gaps around the headlight buckets. It looks pretty much like this car does in the before pics.

    Metric steel comes from Toledo Ohio oddly enough, can't get metric steel in Canada that I know of. Dimensions are exact.

    End of 2022 the car arrived and it took some time to find the parts then of course crating and shipping added to the wait time.

    The other NOS parts came quickly from Ferrari in Italy.

    Complete repaint yes, we have yet to be able to match a single stage red in single stage paint. We know we can match single stage if we sprayed base clear but no one wants 2/3rds of their car painted 2 stage and the middle single stage.

    The clams are in nice shape, no DOT or damage history.

    We had to tuck in the clam on both sides so the small gusset was cut out, manually move the sides in and weld the smaller gusset in.

    The main rear clam supports had to be adjusted in length. New clams lack these supports at all so you have to transfer them.
