Yes, I just saw the replay. That was a great call by him.

He still lucked out with the timing of everything because any longer and he’s losing position. He just doesn’t have the pace to really be competitive. He got the drip on everyone with the softs and the safety car saved him.

It will be interesting to see how qualifying and the race goes. Clearly this car likes running lower as can be done during the sprints with a lighter fuel load.

I wouldn’t start celebrating just yet.

You don’t know that the safety car “saved” Lewis. Sure he probably couldn’t have challenged the McLarens but very well could have held onto 3rd.
No need to start celebrating, I’ve been celebrating Lewis for about 15 yrs no reason to ever stop :)

Enjoy the moment while you can! As a Schumacher fan I know every celebration eventually comes to an end. :D

If that was Piastri instead of Alonso you'd be complaining about Lawson being pushed off.

If more did that maybe we wouldn’t have so many “he pushed me off!” Incidents. Felt to me like Alonso could have given him a little space there, but chose not to. Oh well.

I've been questioning Lawson's bumping and rubbing since last year. If you find I am biased on this going forwards, be sure to point it out.
