Will the Albanese Government be a one term Government ?

Defunding of Tafe and shifting apprentices from employers to private 'trainers' tied to labour hire firms is why we have no tradesmen.
Turning the universities into 'businesses' that became dependent on fee-paying foreigners and 'every kiddy gets a prize' degrees.
Turning 'homes' into investments by promoting negatively geared 'investment' properties.
Shall I go on?

 

RUBBISH! Parents are responsible for bringing children up to be decent humans - schools teach SUBJECTS (not the same thing). No teacher has ever taught a kid to swear, 'school refuse' or skive off - that all comes from parents trying to be their kid's 'best friend' (and who came up with that idiotic concept!),

I do agree with the 'not paying' thing - part of the problem with housing is that no one looks to pay down their mortgage; all just hoping that price escalation will magically make them rich...

My Daughter is a primary school teacher. I see first hand what she goes through being an assistant Principal.

Looking at the bright side - well ok. There is no bright side. Just a less **** side - I’m delighted to see the Greens losing every seat they had, including possibly Melbourne so that total and utter KANT Bandt may be relegated to the dustbin of history where he belongs.

And also likely two Teal clowns losing, including DOCTOR Ryan. That is something to be happy about as well.

No I don't; but why don't you ask your daughter what she has to put up with from parents... I know quite a few teachers who have resigned and everyone of them quoted 'parents' as the major reason...
Do YOU think it's a teacher's responsibility to teach kids basic morals, decency, good language and behaviour? Many people seem to think school is a baby sitting service and now everyone wants the government to fund full time virtually childcare, why not roll the kindies into state schools and be done with it?

 

Saved a couple hundred billion on no nuclear ; plus the $7.5billion in the bank from no 25c petrol discount (although the excise take will be dropping with the petrol price that's dropping completely independently). Hopefully something will get clawed back from the AUKUS scam.
The hoohaah about the 'unrealised gains' tax on super over $3m only affects about 55,000 people so not going to too many tears over that one...

Why I cannot get a rebate on my private insurance because of what I earn and forced to pay it, whilst paying over 7K on Medicare that I have never used.

I want a government that will serve the taxpayers the middle class.

Yes she always has to deal with parents, many that claim its the schools responsibility.

I personally believe its the parents responsibility but many don't care and they just push it on the teachers.

Not saying its good or bad but I went to catholic schools. Nuns had straps. We were never out of line.

Children's behavior will change if they know they can get away with it. They can be little angels at home but devils at school.

IMO the world has totally changed. Teachers in my days had a lot of respect, today they dont.

 

Energy costs are climbing as much due to higher USAGE as higher per kW/h rates. In fact while the kW/h rates have risen, the biggest increases have actually been in the access (daily or monthly) fixed rates (blame privatisation which has to keep the profits climbing). Nuclear is a chimera for Australia - Duttons big idea was going to add just 4% to capacity.
Pension isn't a RIGHT, it's a safety net. Would $30k really matter to you? You've had the advantage of 15% super tax for a long time to make sure you DIDN'T need the pension...
Blame Howard for the LCT.
Look at what you get for your tax dollar compared to most other countries - few state or local taxes. Pretty good services all round.
Also blame Howard for the private health insurance debacle (it rose overnight by exactly the 30% of the rebate). If you have an accident or serious cancer, you WILL be using Medicare... Look at what you'd pay for insurance in the USA and rejoice...
The government DOES serve the middle class taxpayer - you are way above that and should be glad of it!

 

Exactly, but the biggest change is that once upon a time the parent would back up the teacher if a child needed disciplining... now, the parents all just blame the teachers for picking on their little angel... NO RESPONSIBILITY TAKEN.
I went to state schools where the boys could still be caned and yes, mostly all were well behaved.
