another endorsement for Sherman’s deli. thanks for the tip. we had the chicken noodle soup and hot pastrami new york sandwich. we tried to duplicate Nate &Al’s deli version which is.: rye bread, pastrami, add coleshlaw and 1000 island dressing into the sandwich.
If you want a burger, I'd suggest Tyler's on the Plaza. Lulu California Bistro is solid, but touristy. It's my go to spot for a quick lunch with out of towners visiting. Both are good people watching restaurants. If you've got the time, these are both great kickoff points for a stroll through downtown after lunch.
