I sold off several cars in January to start my hunt for an F40 - one of which was my 3900 mile Tri-colore Speciale that I had for a few years. I had made a decision to let either the Speciale go or my Pista spider, and unfortunately, the Speciale went. (thankfully still have the Pista spider). Of course, 30 days later, the auction for the blue Speciale set the market on fire. I'm guessing my car would be an $850k car now - if I only had waited 30 days! Honestly though, if there's any regret, it's less about the money and more about letting this beautifully spec'd car go.

Would love to hear the communities opinion on the value of 458 Speciales versus 458 Speciales Tailor Made market.

Little to no Tailor Made cars ever to make it to the public secondhand market from the looks of it.

There have been TM cars for sale, maybe not in past 2 months, and they are often looking for a special buyer, most are like you would regularly find with other TM models, that is, eclectic choices that are generally not universally loved.

I doubt there will be any premium assigned to TM models. The most beloved/iconic 458S is the launch edition with NART stripes and full Alcantara interior (and a suspension lifter helps)

 

There is a yellow TM car that was originally Canadian thats now in Florida. Its being shopped around quietly. i know because it was offered to me. Its yellow with blue carbon and painted shields. Canadian VIN. MSRP in the stratosphere for 2015 in USD. Aside from that one, i dont think i have ever seen a TM Speciale to be honest.

Looks like they're actively buying Apertas , Rosso Fuoco one on their inventory was for sale here on F chat classified not too long ago.

Ya I noticed that wehen hunting for another Aperta to add, they recently bought 3 from the Toronto area and brought them down - all transacted here for about $1.1-$1.25 ... not sure how much upside there is but if you control the inventory you can control the pricing
