Oh, if that is the case, my apologies. He would definitely have to. It’s a no brainer then! 488 is a turbo, so, hybrid is no big deal I kid. Do what you want.

0 to 60mph does not tell the entire story. 60 to 130mph is much better indicator of actual performance difference at these levels with less variables such as traction. Even 1 second is massive multi bus difference let alone 3 seconds. Your points are valid if you don't care about the performance. Everyone have different standards, preference, nothing wrong, there is something for everyone, that is why people have multiple cars.

Have you actually heard an actual cold start of 296 in person? cold start on F8/296/SF90 is very loud. Unfortunately, that is only time it is loud enough for me. I am just stating the fact.

Jason Burtman stopped my my house just an hour ago. What a timing huh? From Pennsylvania to Socal nontheless. Jason has 458 with Capristo exhaust and neighbor has 458 with straight pipe and titanium exhaust, we started up neighbor's 458 to hear exhaust, it was loud.

Then back to my house I told him my SF90 needs a valve controller, it is super quiet with exception of cold start (real cold start, not start it up after a drive). I started it up and his jaw dropped, because it was far far louder than he expected, he also took a video. He runs the biggest 458 Facebook page.

As stated before with performance, I'm comparing 488 vs 296. and again its personal opinions - I don't need more power than I already have. I can't use it unless I'm on a track. Although I do want more or the other parameters the 296 (and partial 488 also) missing. I. Terms of sound and engaging. If there was a manual 488 I would be all over it.

It's not about not caring about performance, there will always be a faster better car out there.

To answer your question about coldstart. Yes - many times, both from the driver seat but even more from the outside. But my references to mad loud is something totally different then your experience, and it's just as simple as that.

I'm not interested in the 296 or any hybrid car at all. For the reasons I've stated.
And there's the value aspect to consider in the next step. Fortunately not a issue for me as I'm not interested in hybrids or electrical cars at all. I don't buy my cars to make money but I'm not that keen on loosing major amounts on a very short period of time so I try to be smart about the purchase. Everything can happen of course and that's part of the game.
I've worked hard to get the cars I want without any financial help. To buy a hybrid like this would just be financial harakiri. I wish a was that rich to be able to make bad economic decisions but I'm not. If you have a SF90 you should know what I'm talking about.

So interesting that we have different opinions and thoughts about theese cars. It's what the forum is all about.

    Cheers mate!

All good and fair, there really is something for everyone. For a while I never thought I would get anything without manual transmission. I actually put on most miles in 6spd gated manual 360 and 488 (13k miles in one year). I be perfectly happy with a328, F355, California, GTC4 Lusso, etc and be thrilled with a 458, different flavors.
