Just had an atleier appointment for my Purosangue. I am trying to decide between Blu Metallizzato and Azzurro California. Both are in the icy blue / silver family. I was initially drawn to Azzurro California as it was the perfect color for someone like myself who thinks the Puro looks good in Argento Nurburgring but just silver would be too plain for the car. The Atelier folks think Blu Metallizzato is the better option as it has a slightly darker blue tone. This color looks different in daylight and night.

I have been given an allocation so the choice needs to be made soon. My biggest hangup is that I can find lots of photos of Azzurro California cars but I cannot find a single example of Blu Metallizzato on a modern Ferrari (found a Blu Dino Metallizzato but not sure it is the same color).

I'm not sure how to move forward. Do I go with the known quantity (Azzurro California) or do I go with a small metal paint sample (Blu Metallizzato).

My vote is always California azzuro. It has been my favorite since I was a kid!

I wish that one f50 was still around but it was repainted back to red to my understanding

Marcus did you end up with azzurro California? The stories that the dealer posted it looked like Celeste, but that is probably just the color variation of a phone picture of a screen.

I chose Azzurro California in the end! The Atelier photoshopped renderings are not truly accurate to this color. But I am ever excited. Very few paints are worth the dramatic adder but I feel like this one justifies it. The ice blue reminds me of a color Brunello Cucinelli sports and it goes with my platinum Daytona dial . Getting two colors in one, silver and blue. Thanks for everyone’s help on this thread!

Hi Marcus, Not everybody likes the same color, thank heavens.
I've restored a few cars, and always found the final color I have chosen suits me, not other people.
Suggest you get or make a few blanks for the Purosangue. If you can't find any just get some pics with a white color.
Fill them in with your color choices using a photo app.. Put them on your screen saver to play over and over.
This should give you some idea of colors that suit.
