We have two different views about results. I don't care who's ahead when running 6th and 7th. Wins is all that matters.

Exactly, easier to set up and adjust for varying tracks = easier on the tyres = better performance = better grip = winning

I suppose we can say the same for Verstappen, undoubtedly a brilliant yet ferocious race car driver but struggling in a poor car. But a good car doesnt make you a good driver as some portray.

I'm glad. Then there's Lawson, wish he was shown the exit door as well.

On what lap did the "end" begin in this context? Did it progress linearly?

Yes but the difference is Max is still getting decent results with a poor car. One win, three poles and three podiums so far, I think.

That was only at some point though, initially LH was faster than CL (who was already chasing Antonelli), otherwise LH (who was back in the field) would never have caught up CL.
So LH was faster but not faster enough to pass CL without help; that's why the right decision would have been to let him pass immediately and see if he was still fast enough to catch Antonelli, and if not, swap back rapidly.
Instead Ferrari pit went to the tea break, and LH lost time and destroyed his tyres behind CL - when he eventually passed, he did not have the pace necessary (we'll never know whether he would have had it if allowed to pass immediately, but it was worth a try).

Slept right through this one ...just watched the 'highlights' now.One of my better decisions!

If Lando is still dreaming of WDC it might turn into a real dog fight with Oscar, just screw team orders and tell Zak to do one! Otherwise no chance.

About that "dogfight with Oscar," I doubt Piastri will get into one let alone if Norris gets into one. Piastri seems more in control and will most likely blow-by Norris IF that dogfight happens as Piastri will pick and chose where that dogfight happens in the track.

I feel Piastri will out qualify Norris and run in clean air into the distance.

We'll see going forward into the season but that's my opinion at the moment.

Oscar is minimizing mistakes vs Norris. Lando might be a slight quicker but the better racer and cleaner driver is Oscar. Those qualities should serve him well. If he wins 3 more in a row, I dont see Norris catching him at all if that happens. Norris will get weaker given how he focused on Max instead of Oscar. Norris lost that race on lap 1. He should know better by now. For Norris to win, and yes he could, he needs to drive MORE like Oscar LOL! :)

I liked Lando a lot, he called out several drivers over the years and last year failed to back up his own statements. "1st championship fight" was the excuse. Well now he has a car that's been a 1 second a lap quicker than the nearest competition and he's still failing. Constantly ballses up his qualifying efforts. His racecraft has been downright confusing at times, trying the same thing over and over again, hoping it'll stick. Oscar's reaction post race was hilarious to Lando yapping. All he did was look at him confused for a moment and raise his eye brows. Last year after Lando made some significant mistakes he started to blame his mental state for it, and then went on social media and began engaging with all the negative statements about his racing. Lando is his own worst enemy.

Oscar isn't stupid and by simply contradicting Lando and a few raises of eye brows he's deep in Lando's head and it's showing.

Lando has the attention span of gnat. Thats his biggest weakness overall. He talks and drives in a rather unfocused manner from what I see and hear. He is naturally fast. Speed is not the issue for him at all. His focus on what is happening right in front of him is and some small lack of control as his impulsive lap 1 moved showed in Miami.

They make money off of it. Apparently this reel thing is very popular with the youth! ;)

This is who Ferrari and F1 is now marketing to.
