I'm currently without my own car after an uninsured DoorDash driver sideswiped me on the Interstate, breaking my steering connections, and sending me into a concrete wall at ~60-70mph... :( So, I'm looking to get into something else soon and move on. Any help or introductions to sellers you know would be appreciated, please PM me directly or respond in the thread and I'll PM you.

Looking for a 2021-2022 L405 Range Rover Westminster, specifically the P400 with the 3.0 inline-6 MHEV engine (reliability and mileage are factors). No V6 or V8 options for reliability/efficiency reasons. Would maybe consider a 2020 HSE P400 if it had most of the options that are standard on the Westminster and was priced well - I'm considering an insurance company's point of view that "Westminster" adds more value than saying "it has all the same options" in the event that a car is totaled, so there's more risk in the event of a future incident.

    Other specs:
    • Accident/damage-free
    • Less than 70k miles.
    • Non-smoker: very important, I've got a severe tobacco allergy that triggers asthma attacks and can't spend any great length of time in a vehicle that has been smoked in.
    • Focused on cars with histories in non-salty states.
      • California
      • Nevada
      • Arizona
      • New Mexico
      • Texas
      • Oklahoma
      • Arkansas
      • Louisianna
      • Mississippi
      • Tennessee
      • Alabama (where I am now)
      • Georgia
      • Florida
      • South Carolina
    • Preference for bright single-color wheels, rather than black or two-tone. Not a big deal, I can always trade the wheels in future.
    • Preference for lighter colored interior leather.
    • Preference for warm wood dashboards.
    • Preference for examples that haven't had the cooler between the two front seats deleted. I like the sound of having cold drinks while selling houses on long hot days.
    • Preference for body-colored roof rather than piano black. I realize it's an "upgrade" for most people, but I might well just wrap the roof in future if it's piano black.

Pretty open to most color combinations (try me), although I can't stand the blacked out look where everything is black: black paint, black side trim, black interior, piano black dashboard trim, and black wheels. It's a hard pass on anything that could cause anyone to ever even remotely consider using the word "batmobile" to describe my future car. A black paint and/or a black roof is (begrudgingly) doable as long as nothing else is black. Black leather is doable as long as nothing else is black. Strong preference for any other combinations.

I'm looking long-distance so can fly in, do the deal, and drive out. Would need a seller willing to coordinate with me on detailed photos, an in-person viewing to make sure all is as described, and driving out after transparently pulling the trigger on the funds transfer - we'll figure out logistics together. While there were one or two cars that might have worked for me, the dealers selling them would not work with me unless I used their preferred lending partners instead of my bank Redstone Federal Credit Union (who have preapproved me with excellent rates because of my business relationship with them). The car seemed an inconvenience to the dealers I've talked to so far and they were pretty focused on just selling credit.

So... I'm looking for high $30s or low $40s out the door (including tax and registration, which is going to be ~$2,500 here in Alabama with a 2% state rate and 1.25% local rates). What've you got? :)

Any private sellers out there who'd fancy a deal better than your trade-in offer and would like a buyer ready now?

Any dealers who are ready to negotiate immediately using my preapproved financing? I am not shopping the loan.

Know a good guy/gal with a car? Help me out with an introduction!

Please send me a PM directly or ask in the thread for me to PM you, and thank you for your help!

    All the best,
    Andrew.
