This is alleged to be Jackie Stewart testing the Lotus 78 at Paul Ricard, four years after retiring. I’m not sure if it is fake or not because I read somewhere that he refused to drive any F1 cars competitively once retired. Image Unavailable, Please Login
It wouldn't seem right to let today pass without an image of this brilliant race driver. Senna, John Player Special Lotus 98T - Renault-Gordini 1.5 V6. Paul Ricard 1986. Image Unavailable, Please Login

This is authentic. In 78, Stewart did a series for TV in the UK where he tested all the current F1 cars = except Ferrari. on Youtube you can find footage of him driving the Tyrrell 6 wheels, and 4, The Ligier Matra, Lotus , Brabham and Renault. Some speculated that there was an offer for him to come back and that he was thinking of it... which is why the test. He did the same thing again in 86 or 87, where he tested the Benetton, Williams, and I think he did a March. He also tested a Jaguar Group C car- and had a pretty big accident at Silverstone in that car. I remember specifically asking him about that at the Canadian GP and he said that he was talking with Ferrari to test their car, but that nothing had been settled. I asked where did he think he'd qualify and he just winked and said "top 3 rows for sure"...
I have always wondered what the little dragon on the side next to his name was for and then found out that it was for Micromax that made small personal appliances like irons and hairdryers...
When Senna drove the Lotus99T(yellow with Camel logo) the dragon logo and Micromax name were next to the logo.....fyi.
