Because the design and the sound and the emotions are not comparable with a 458 Speciale. The name alone says nothing.

I have an allocation, but haven't seen the final options/price list. Did you see that yet?

are you taking it? Perhaps we should do a poll here for people that have been offered an allocation and how many will move forward with it. I would expect that a majority will take it unless there are some extenuating circumstances like a 25% tariff etc.

A quick calculation suggests USD 450-500 000 plus tariff based on EU uplift vs GTB

In your mind - time will tell.
The Speciale - which I own will likely be same as VS - it is not a coincidence.
You are very negative towards the future / stuck in past - you need to have some basis.

Ferrari knows how to build emoting better than anyone in their track versions - name one track version that has not produced a great result. Keep in mind the VS is at the bottom of the food chain - F80 is 6x the price and VS is 90% as good. Perspective is key with Ferrari - none of this makes sense.

Of course that's a painstaking exercise for them, but most probably the initial selection of customers is aiming for minimal rejection in order to support the idea that supply is far lower than demand (hence the very extensive list of conditions to "qualify").
Then they'll continue with customers they themselves initially rejected, which will keep ensuring that no offered allocation is declined, and maintain the potential customers in the idea they are the ones in the asking position (so that's very good marketing...)

Sounds nothing like a Mclaren. 296 much more refined.

Less raspy, slightly more resonant. McLarens all sound a little wheezy.

Test drove the 296 and the 750S back to back. Went with the 296. Elegant when needed, brute power when called upon. The Mac seemed like a one trick pony. At least that was my impression after a brief test drive.

The 296 sounds nothing like a MAC. The MAC sounds turbo charged while the 296 doesn’t. When I drive the 296, I actually forget it has turbos until I hear the occasional whistle. Sound- like beauty, is in the ear of the beholder. Example- I hate the sound of the SF90, while others like it. Can’t otherwise understand.

It looks better than a 458 speciale.

They sound very different. He’s on one.

I love the 765 sound though. The blowoff sounds are crazy and the cracks on downshifts. So fun.

Yep, looking forward to it. Had a Pista - loved it - and just traded an SF90 for a 296 GTS. Hoping the VS is similar to the Pista.

Sorry, please explain how the 296 Speciale looks like the 600 LT from behind? I’m not seeing anything close to similar.

I mentioned this earlier, the one thing that would have been great would have been to increase the redline on the car to 9K. still keep it below the 9200 of the F80 no not upset the balance.

Great call. My GT4RS revs to 9k and the new Lambo Temerario revs to 10k.

It depends if they get anything out of the engine for it. Apparently the 12Cilindri was going to go to 10k, but they were losing torque and it wasn’t worth it. I imagine the VS will have no problem making it to 10k with the v12.
