If the gearing is nicely paced and the journey to get to 9k is full of drama(a work to reach to the top of mountain) like it used to be in old cars, I have no problem. Even 7k is enough :)
These days, cars are so capable that it reaches to 9k no problem. 10k will be easy too.
Have you tried LC500 from Lexus? That is properly done with 7.3k.
So, give us more drama and emotion this time. More than SF90, Purosangue, 296 at least.

750s has more emotion and drama than 296 if you ask me.

The 296 is so usable and connected- as if its power, nimbleness and sharpness are hard wired to my brain. A sudden non linear turbo surge may be more dramatic in a MAC- and I view that as a negative when it comes to driving on the road.

I love my 812 and the 296 makes it feel old.

As one of many cars- the MAC 720/ 750 is more than good enough to be included and I would never pick it over a 296.

    After a closer look:
The wing around the rear fenders is more than ugly!
It may be a reminiscence to F40/50. How dare they?
    Boah!

Surely more FXX-K inspired, yes. My gripe with it is that it looks like they couldn't decide between the Deborah and the FXX-K wing, so they went with a bit of both. Since the FXX-K launch, Mansory have been quite persistent with using that winglet design for their tacky bodykits as well, which Ferrari of course can choose not to care about. It does however give the 296 VS's rear a sense of Mansory to me, which is a great shame.

It has been confirmed that even new customers without a history can get a 296 Speciale. Unfortunately, this means that far too many cars will sold.

An 812 Superfast is a much more emotional car than a 296 and not much slower on the highway. Most customers aren't interested in the racetrack anyway.

Both cars look terrible, no elegance. Like a cheap tuning. Similarities from the shape, both very round and pressed from the shape.

I don't care, people who order a 296 will always defend it and never give their honest opinion. Especially as there are so many people out there now who just order a car like this in the hope of making money is crazy. You can see that just by looking at how many kilometers the special models have on the clock when they are sold.

This is contrary to everything I've heard and experienced.

I've been told that dealers have some discretion over who gets the coupes, but a car in the garage and a car purchased in the last few years is a minimum requiremt.

I have not been offered an allocation, at least not yet. I meet the minimum requirements - I have two cars in my garage, both purchased in the last couple years. I have been vocal about my interest, and have a great relationship with my dealer. But they have limited allocations and everyone in line ahead of me has a bigger collection and purchase history. That's only fair.

Point is, in my neck of the woods, allocations are scarce. At least so far.

On earnings they said the 296 Speciale would follow the same path we saw the Pista as far as production.

A Ferrari dealer has shared on his public channel that you can currently only order a 296 Speciale, everything else is sold out.

please post that here. I will personally call and ask for an allocation :) I have talked with multiple large dealers across the country and none of them are offering to new customers. One has shared that they have a list of eligible customers from ferrari. After that it is up to the dealer to decide who they will offer to from that list. I also asked about additional allocations. They were clear they do not expect additional allocations. What Ferrari does later is anyone's guess. What is at hand right now is that all dealers have been provided their allocations. only time will tell.

Different use case. That being said- I love my 812GTS and if I could only have one it would be the 296. It’s that good. Hardwired to my brain. Fits like a glove too. Nimble and so easily to place.

That does not mean that anyone can order one. If everything is sold out, and the only thing they are taking is new orders of the 296 Speciale, that's basic common sense.

Many in my market qualify for the allocation, but supply is limited. For example, dealer get 30 cars, while 40 customers meet the criteria. Thatll leave 10 eligible customers missing out despite meeting the minimum requirements.

Hardwired indeed. The car anticipates the driver’s intentions and complies immediately. On a separate note I managed to get it to downshift from 8A to what I assume was 7A and it was just an outwardly experience of sound, motion and time dilation. It wasn’t even WOT I don’t think. I was just trying to get it to downshift in AUTO. The propulsion is astonishing and the head snap is real! Deceleration is also quite an experience. The sudden change in velocity and the sounds of sequential downshifts is pure magic. I’m glad “nobody” likes the 296. More for the ones who are worthy to actually engage with them.

My situation exactly. Though I suspect it's less than 30 allocations and more than 40 qualifying customers at my dealership. They're doing the best they can to be fair from what I can see.
