Modification will nullify your warranties, both engine /transmission and emmissions.
    Not worth it

Will we lose the warranty with the Novitec solution?
Hoping for a special agreement between the companies

We need to push for a roll back of the GPF requirement in the USA. And push for Ferrari to sell an exhaust GPF delete and matching software patch to allow the 12C to both ‘sing and dance’ to its full glory!

Ferrari needs to adapt to the fact that the USA will still be a market for ICE and not to foist unnecessary, over -restrictive EU and other nation’s policies on the US market.

Since the rest of the world is going to outlaw ICE, there would be no market for US specific Ferraris to be exported and sold/licensed in the EU, Scandinavia, UK, China, and all rest.

Let American owners have the freedom to drive a Ferrari that can sing and dance.

Not sure about that though I know it is sarcastic and I get you.
On one hand the car desperately needs an exhaust. On the other most if not 95% practically of owners will never put an exhaust on the car out of anxiety as other threads have demonstrated.

I really think some of this is dealer specific. Had a major refit on f8 and valve controllers on all my current ones and 0 issues w the dealer. Traded in my f8 for the 296 and had all the original parts in a box in the trunk and they just pulled the new and put back to the old. Never said anything. With that said, no warranty claims by me but I think a NA v12 is an easy exhaust mod. No way I touch the 296. Malibu guy is in the know so it may just be his dealer is more strict?

The F8 has very little engine music. I heard an F8 with an aftermarket exhaust and it was a night and day difference. I did some research and decided to just leave things the same. The name of the company which did the exhaust mod was Boden AutoHaus! Very good place!

In my case I put on the miles so I need the warranty and not give the ‘Family’ a loop hole to deny warranty coverage. My F8 has 50,000 miles and the extended warranty.

The 12C sounds much better than the F8 because it’s a 12 and non turbo .

Good luck with that. Ferrari won't even let you pay to paint over the horrid black parts on the 12c. Soon they will be all electric so you won't have to worry about it.

    Im more optimistic.

I believe Ferrari will continue to make ICE for the USA market. Even if the rest of the world bans ICE.

I think it depends on the dealer. I know of a case where the dealer (UK) installed aftermarket exhausts to a clients 812 at his request. They said that as long as the work was done by them and the car was maintained by them they had no issue ...

Again that's the dealer .. not Ferrari corporate. Ferrari definitely doesn't like it. But if the dealer is game ans you have a good relationship... I think you can get away with a lot of things.

I was referring to the statement: "Ferrari needs to adapt to the fact that the USA will still be a market for ICE and not to foist unnecessary, over -restrictive EU and other nation’s policies on the US market." Ferrari will move on to electric and the issue will be solved.

I am impressed at 50k miles on the F8! Our F8 has been sold and bought back because I just love the way it drives and the spec is perfect to me. But with a 12 C and PS coming, I think I will let her go. Then it will mostly be V12’s in the stable.

Strongly considering one more mid engine - that being the SF90 replacement. Of course, a one off mid engine NA V12 would be fantastic! But a LOT of things have to change before that! LOL

Buy a used SP3 or La Ferrari?
If Solid State is correct then the ICE w
indow starts to close rather soon and even for the USA
Maybe Ferrari has time for the SP4? But getting an allocation will be....

I’ve thought about it. It is a future thing anyway. By the time we could do that, I’ll probably be too old to get in and out! LOL.

In the meantime I’ll just enjoy standard production vehicles. Except for that Singer on its way sometime late 2026 or 2027…. ;)

I’m not sure how RACE stock will be affected or valued if Ferrari no longer produces ICE and only makes All Electric.

All foreign manufacturers will be in the same boat. So if Lambo Porsche and Aston only produce all electric it’s a level playing field.

Will buyers be willing to pay 600-800 for the normal production electric Ferraris?

Im sure they will have buyers mainly younger buyers who don’t know what an ICE engine feels like.

So maybe more advanced tech will
Be the focus. Be able to control battery discharge rate and cooling strategy. See live data about the electrical motor. Use of more exotic materials for the wiring magnets ?

More electric motors? Maybe 8? Smaller and lighter?

It’s hard for me to imagine how they will distinguish the brand in an EV world. So I can’t even comment on your hypotheticals!

It would have to be top tier in everything - not simply acceleration as most EV’s have ridiculous straight line performance and HP. It would have to have otherworldly handling, best power management, unique materials etc. Luxurious and exotic materials that appeal to visual and tactile senses. And a style that is uniquely beautiful.

Even then, it seems a difficult hurdle.

Electric Ferraris will be one of the three pillars of the brand, the other two being hybrids and pure ICE.
