    According to this bloke, the secret to McLaren's ability to keep their tire temps in the optimal window, lap after lap, may lie in Phase Change Material:



    Or it could be Horner's theory of tire water lol

    I still think there should be a regulation preventing rotor shrouds.

    We, the audience need to see those glowing disks !!

    Horner saying ''it's water'' is just (the cheapest) way to get the FIA to look into it, and that's how teams will know what's exactly going on.

    Phase changing materials as far as I know are not illegal though

    Isn't McLaren's "secret" that they hired two top engineers from Red Bull? The results speak for themselves......they stole the right guys.

    Buddy of mine with an inside track, told me it is indeed related to the construction of the drum, whether it's phase changing materials unclear for now! Bet more info will be available at the next race!
