Wow how bad are the Colorado Rockies. They've played 28 games and won just FOUR. They've lost 7 straight. By far the worst in the league. At this rate they will lose around 140 games!

The Padres were flying high but have fallen off a cliff. Pretty good year for the Giants so far.

I went to see Trout in his prime at Angel Stadium. The guy was a marvel. Most underrated player in baseball at the time.

he isn't underrated anymore, well actually after his last 3-4 years of injuries and poor performance, most have given up on him. I would love to see a full season for him, top 10 in HR's, .220-240, .900 OPS. most don't expect him to do that this year.

Yes. I was referring to his best years in the Angels org. People knew about him but he never really got the big headlines for how good he was. I guess that's the general nature of the Angels though. Squeezed out between the Dodgers and the Padres.

People like to complain about "how bad" the Athletics are with their bare bones salary, but they aren't having that bad a year so far. Just a tick above 500 and only 1.5 games out of first in 3rd place. Considering all the off field drama -- not bad at all.

The Rockies are worse than the White Sox this year...and that is saying something.

I saw this crazy stat a couple weeks ago (and just looked it back up): since the start of 2024, the most number of times a team could say "we've lost at least 13 of our last 15 games" is CHW 57, CR 2, Angels 1, A's 1.

I think the Rockies might be at 4 or 5 now with the extended losing streak around 1 W.

Rockies on pace to win only 26 games this year, and lose 136. Currently lost 7 straight.

A year ago Aaron Judge (after 20 games?) was on a pace to hit 120 home runs, too.

Is Vegas doing ANYTHING about a new MLB stadium yet?

Oh yes. Work going on every day. Its on schedule. There's some kind of ceremony planned next month but right now they are digging out for the foundation.

This guy does a weekly report. He did the same thing with Allegiant stadium for its 3 years of construction

That's funny, nobody is talking about it on Sports Talk Radio (which I am getting VERY sick of),
all they were ever talking about is how the stadium keeps hitting financial roadblocks, and how the
new team owner is the cheapest owner in all of sports and doesn't want to spend his own money
on anything, be it players or a stadium...

Blue Horseshoe loves Drake Baldwin. He's not quite the sleeper prospect he was a few weeks ago as he just jumped the lead of NL ROY odds. As a catcher he hasn't been getting full AB's though. As a true rookie he's batting .357 and almost 1.0 OPS. He's just short showing up on the season batting leaders as a few AB's short, but he would be 3rd only behind Aaron Judge and Freddie Freeman. I bought up a bunch of his rookie autograph cards a few weeks ago and they've already almost doubled.

I'm sure when I go see my Dodgers play them at Coors they will go on a winning streak :)
