Looking forward, is the low pressure fitting on the driver's side of the compressor? Thanks
Sorry, I dont get your question... What is tht you are asking about in relation to that low pressure fitting?
Hello again, sorry I did not make myself clear. The car is a left hand drive, 93 512TR. The parts manual describes the port facing fitting is the intake fitting and the starboard facing fitting is the outlet. I want to give the system a recharge of R12. It may sound like a dumb question but I will admit to being dumb about alot of these particulars. Which fitting is the low pressure side. I tried search threads and came up with nothing for a 512. Thanks again
The low side is on the left as you look forward from the back of the car. Usually it points vertically.
I'm thinking about converting my system to R134, because where I live it's impossible to find R12 anymore.
I have a couple hundred pounds. Bought it all on Ebay. When I was still living in California it was very easy. Could have all I wanted delivered to my door by the afternoon.
Richard, if your '93 is like my '86 Testarossa, blue hose is suction side of the compressor. The compressor endcap is marked "SUC" below the fitting. Just for you I went out to the garage and took a pic of the marking. BTW, please say hello to Mike Epifanio for me if you see him. Hey Guys, Thanks for the information. Since I originated this post I have moved on to a 94 512TR and currently owning an 84 BBi. I use Duracool refrigerant. It is a replacement for R134a and R12.I have had no problems and my BBi blows as cold as possible.
