    Hi All,

Has anyone experience of driving both the 430 auto gearbox compared to the 360 auto box? Are they similiar technology and drive the same?

I drove a 458 and 488 and the dual clutch gearbox is lightning fast so would expect the 430 would be somewhere in between the 360 and the 458.

    Any advice appreciated?

The F430 is closer to the 360 than to the 458, because the 360 and F430 use the same technology (a robotized traditional H-pattern gearbox), only improved on the F430. OTOH the dual clutch is completely different and allows far faster changes by design.

08 and 09 F430s are faster than earlier ones but still a robo-manual and will kick you in the butt when they shift. Scuderia is the best implementation and shift close to early dual clutch but still will kick you hard. No robo-manual should be used in heavy traffic often or by a driver who does not understand how it works or you will eat your clutch. The 458 and 488 dual clutch you can just drive like a normal car, but when you want to drive it like a Ferrari, it will perform with lighting but sterile shifts.

Thanks for the advice, when I drove the newer dual clutch geabox, it was the kick in the butt that I really liked when shifting. Sounds like the F430 would shift even harder.
