This is my travel watch. It's getting a little hacked up. I bought it the first time I went to Rio de Janeiro. I heard there was a lot of theft there (I never had problems).

Now I wear it to bed when I am traveling because of how the face lights up when you press the crown. Its great in the middle of the night when I have no idea what time it might be.

I got this watch given to me by a client who buys and sells new and used watches of all kinds. It's become one of my favorites. Apparently it's discontinued now, but retained for about 500 bucks. Ha, just noticed, I need to set the time for daylight savings..

I had an Indiglo watch years ago. Took it off while doing some work on a car and set it on the cowl. Forgot it was there and took the car out for a test drive when I was done. The watch was gone. I looked everywhere inside the car and up and down the road. No idea where the heck it went, but it was gone. The Indiglo part was a cool party trick at the time.

Ballast Trafalgar on today. Bigger watch but I like it. Unique part of this watch is you set and wind it using the rotating bezel.

Where's all the other low brown watch guys? ;)

Was packing stuff up and decided on just a few watches to keep out with me. Haven't worn this one in a while. Baby Orange Monster Seiko. Need to send it in for service someday, crystal seems cloudy to me and has a big scratch. Still wear it though and it still runs well.

This was an impulse purchase a couple years ago from Costco. I saw it in the display case and had to have it. It's the watch I wear the most actually.

I have a Citizen Titanium watch. Only two things I don't like about it, solar power so if it's not getting light while sitting it'll die and potentially not work again. And for some reason the bracelet on mine keeps pinching me and pulling hairs. Annoying so #2 leads to me not wearing it which leads to #1 being an issue.

Took the daily Planet Ocean to the Omega boutique on 5th Ave today for service and to have them replace the badly faded bezel. It wasn’t orange any more. Grabbed this one on the way out of the house since I had to have something…..

That looks pretty cool. Is it the same velcro strap as the MoonSwatches though? I bought one of them but couldn't wear it comfortably.

No, it’s a NATO strap and is significantly more comfortable, I like it a lot, I also am not a fan of the Moonswatch strap.

Hmm, I kinda like the yellow one for something different. Might grab one. Not that I need any more watches.

I bought this one on Amazon in 2020. The height of the covid nonsense. Not understanding Citizen and their "eco drive" thing, I thought it was defective. I call customer service. They refunded my money, but told me to destroy the watch, as they cannot take it back...

After researching how these things work, I stuck it under a light for 24hrs, sure enough.. it came to life. Wonderful! Another free watch!

My daily from a dozen years ago, put into semi-retirement after other acquisitions. Pulled out of the drawer when the current daily went in for service. Still love this thing. 1000 meter titanium dive watch, wears really well. No longer made but available for ~$1k used….

Not my everyday watch, but I often take my Casio G-Shock when travelling. It too is solar-powered and in the many years I've owned it, has never stopped. One reason, I think, is that when not in use -so most of the time- I leave it on a window ledge facing out.

It also works off radio time signals. Which means that if going abroad, I have to adjust the watch manually to the geographical zone. It then picks up the signal for that country. At home, it automatically switches between GMT and BST (British Summer Time) twice a year.

After 15 years, the strap finally gave way. Casio have ensured that a replacement strap has to be provided and fitted by them, other watch sellers/repairers don't do this particular model. So the watch disappeared for a few weeks... somewhere, before being handed back with the new strap.

I don't like the design, too many small dials and whatnot which I've never figured out. But the watch was a present from my children, so I do wear it from time to time.

I fully agree, Rene. Aesthetically, the G-Shock is the horological equivalent of cargo shorts.

It finally arrived yesterday from the Netherlands in perfect condition. The seller did a wonderful job of packing, although he used Netherlands Post so tracking ended at the US border; no tariff, no customs duty, though.

The appearance is as-new. It’s keeping good time as expected and the date and day displays advance properly. It has a hacking feature. Although every picture of this reference I’ve seen (I’ve never seen one in person) looked like it had a tiny lume plot at each index, this appears not to be the case. I guess I’ll find out tonight. It wears very comfortably with the Hamilton leather strap and tyne buckle. One of these days I’ll attach the strap with the deployant clasp.

The Chrono24 system worked flawlessly, including escrow and prompt, cheerful, thorough follow-ups when I needed assistance And the seller is an individual, not a dealer, which can make the process a bit riskier. All in all a good experience for a guy who’s chronically difficult to please.:)
