How common is a head gasket leak and at what milage does it happen. This is an engine out service.
I'm not sure of the history. However, the car is in excellent condition with not a mark on it. The dealer commented on how well the car has been maintained. I asked them to do a complete inspection. Pictures of car at dealership: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I'm interested in this as well. Looking at adding a 488 Spider. The thread in the General Section makes it seem as though this is a very common issue, but I don't see much in this section. Thanks.

Until now I had not seen or heard of head gasket leaks as something normal that happens on 488's. I still and none of us know for sure if this is a "thing" with 488's. I had a great time owning my 488 for 4.5 yrs and 9k miles I put on the car myself without an issue.
