    Hello Fellars,

Please scroll down to enjoy some pics and a YouTube video.

I ordered a 296 3 years ago because I thought maybe by the time it arrives, I'd be into it. It's like that Mitch Hedberg joke about baked potato's. It takes so long to bake one in the oven, so sometimes I just put one in, because by the time it's done? who knows.

I initially did the configuration in BRG (British Racing Green, for the laymen) with a tan interior. It was cool, subtle, classy, but I honestly wasn't excited for the car. The lines of the car seem really muted, round, and kinda boring in any color they showed on the configurator. The Assetto Fiorano package stripes looked good on the rear and top of the car, but the arrow at the front just turned me off. It was less "Viper GTS" stripes and more "Dodge Neon" stripes. What was wrong with Pista stripes?? Why reinvent the wheel? Anyone? Bueller?

So I configured the car and put my deposit, then pretty much forgot about it. In the mean time I had really polished my tunes for the 458, 488, F8 and most recently the SF90. I realized that the 296, which has a new engine control unit that isn't in any other Ferrari (yet) is something that would help me push the envelop with my product offerings. All the future cars will be based off this new ECU so it made sense for me to get one in house. Sometimes I'll have an idea and want to test something in the middle of the night, now I get to.

But I still wasn't excited about the car. I talked to my sales guy Zach, and asked about wild colors, colors that didn't involve me flying to New York and going through Tailor Made. That's when we came up with the idea for Viola Hong Kong. It reminded me of the E36 M3 in Daytona violet I saw while I was in high school. That M3 had a dove grey interior and I thought although it was beautiful, I wasn't brave enough to drive a purple car. I like unique specs, it's a gamble to do in regards to resale value, but I'm in the automotive industry. My car should invoke a feeling when you see it. Blending in is not what we do here. I think we accomplished that with this spec, she stands out and we are just getting started.

The car arrived right before Christmas 2024 and was the first 2025 296 they got in. I have only driven it twice, once for the video, and once to bring it to the shop for PPF. There's just over 100 miles on it now and it feels like a crime to put miles on this thing. I don't know how you get over that feeling. I realize it's like not having sex with your girlfriend to keep her fresh for the next guy, but every mile I put on it hurts my deep in my bones. I have 4 other cars so it will be a garage queen other than events or media. If you have any suggestions on wheel style and colors I'd love some input.

I've attached some pics and a video showing how it currently sits, I have plans to do wheels, lower it, exhaust, and some magic. Stay tuned guys, hope you enjoy.

Far be it from me to tell anyone how to use their car. But you’re missing out big time if you don’t put some miles on. Looks great.

With that color interior it is perhaps a good thing that you do your 'tune-up' with a computer and not a wrench. ;)
Great looking color combination and far from the old standard of red/tan. Perhaps it is the Ferrari Chat influence of seeing all these different paint colors now that has expanded the color palette thinking!

We ended up with a very similar spec, I wasn't bold enough to go with the white seats though I like the way they look! Just got mine about a month ago.

That just proves there's never been a bad viola HK build. I had my interior coated to help my chances of keeping it sparkly white. We'll see how I do! I've only put two tanks of gas in so it's still pristine so far haha

Will post an update regarding tuning soon
