I raced 348 and fixed many. 348s have lame ecus. Then there are dodgy hvac heads. Been around feraris for too long to ever jump one. Shock it and see what happens. Let us know.
As advised, first charge the battery with a proper charger. Depending on how old the battery is and on how long it was sitting being fully discharged, it may come back to life but chances are that you will need a new battery. Keeping a lead acid battery for prolonged periods of time at below 12V causes sulfation (loss of battery capacity) which is irreversible (despite some claims that it can be reversed using 'special' chargers). Went back to the car yesterday after finding my other charger with a "reconditioning " button. (Never had to use it before) No idea what it did, but it the job. After an hour i was able to start the engine. Anyway good to know not to jump start the car.
I agree that this event could have shortened the life of the battery. It stood empty for about a week in my car storage garage.
Sitting for a week fully discharged may have seriously damaged the battery. One hour of charging, although it could crank the engine, was not enough to fully charge it. If, however, your 'smart' charger showed that the battery was fully charged after just one hour, it means that the battery has lost a large part of its capacity. See how it performs but be prepared for the battery going dead again overnight.
No no, the charger didn't indicate that the battery was full. It was me wanting to test the fact that the car would start and wanting get back to home.
