BTW, chatGPT....
I read that too on Ferrari's press release. I guess they forgot that their own rear-wheel drive LaFerrari produced 963 CV...
You got me all wrong…Hating batteries doesn’t mean I don’t own cars with batteries; check my other posts…As I said fair is fair! Plugging cars in and dealing with battery failures is a pain, however what Ferrari has done with hybrid tech is amazing. PS you will be happy with the XX ;-)
Thanks for the nice responses and personal directed assumptions. Free speech in the US 2025? We know. Hard to understand why some people seem to be offended in such an extreme manner? Fact is that E-machines in cars were introduced due to the restrictions in terms of emissions. Coming along with higher weight, complexity and less reliability . SF90 and 296 have spent more time in workshops due to quality issues than any other new Ferrari model ever. I do support solutions like in the F1 or in the 992.2 GTS (best in class) using electric support as a booster or to cover the lag of exhaust charged ICEs. However, although the total power output may be higher, the drive strategies of full hybrids IN SPORTSCARS are questionable. The „Hybrid“ mode causes switching on and off of the comb engine while driving. Hurts. Could be abandoned . Pure electric drivein a track oriented car: Hmm. The remaining modes are known from traditional ICEs that could reach the same power output unless being downsized. The greatest fake (!) w regard to Hybrids is the projection of lower consumption/emission figures. Actually they aren’t lower at all unless electric or hybrid mode are used which make no sense in such cars. Comparing fire figures of 100000 ICE cars versus Hybrids is also to be questioned as the average ages of the two groups are to be considered. One may argue that manufacturers didn’t have another option but to introduce hybrids. Agreed. However, may it still be allowed some people don’t like them in sportscars? Why can't there be a place for everything in a collection. It's like saying a cheeseburger is better than steak frite. Just enjoy all the varieties and accept some folk prefer different things. All abit boring.
yes, the Pista and 458 Speciale also had this. However, they say the 296 Speciale uses a fixed multimatic suspension derived from the 296 assetto fiorano package. The Assetto fiorano did NOT have bumpy road mode. Hence, removing bumpy road setting would be a big departure from their previous cars like 458 Speciale and 488 pista.
however, the AF suspension wasn't available with a lift either. On the Speciale there is an option for a lift. Must not be the same suspension.

I agree. And I suspect that Ferrari will offer burgers and steaks as long as the regulators allow it. That's a good thing. They're both delicious. The frustrating thing is that the regulators are forcing burgers off menus. I think there's some misplaced animosity towards hybrids for this reason. But the invention of steaks isn't the tragedy. It's the approaching extinction of the burgers. The more tragic thing will be when we're all forced to eat tofu burgers (cough, EVs). Have I tortured this metaphor enough?
Is it just me, or is possible the 296 Speciale might have more space in the lower dash than the standard 296? At least to my eye, it seems like Ferrari shortened the area under the steering wheel near the door. If so, might this been intentional to open up a little more leg room for the big fellas? There's no glove compartment either. Probably for weight saving if anything. Legroom is unintended benefit. Maybe.
Man, I like the coupe so much more than the spider, triangulation and chassis aside! I will order the spider, but I want the coupe!
