I did not bother to watch the race highlights, I find the Indy road course as insipid as it gets. Let's hope for a good safe 500 with a new winner or Marcus Ericsson again, he got cheated a year or two ago with that one lap restart he had no chance as sitting duck in the lead.

Interesting to see Rahal running so well at the front for a while.

He seems to go well on the road course but, watch, RLL will once again be completely lost for
the 500 and have to buy their way in. Incomprehensible how a team such as this with all their
years of experience running these cars for so long can't seem to find the sweet spot for the 500.

Palou threatens to end the season by July if he keeps this up. He should be the early favorite
at the 500 of course but as we know, anything can happen.

2025 race season shaping up to be one of dominance:

-Two drivers have won half of the Nascar Cup races
-One driver (Piastri) has won 4 of 6 F1 races, his team 5/6
-Palou won 4 of 5 Indycar races (and 2nd place in his one "loss")

I just saw about 4 hours until qualifying. As a kid I was a fan of the Indy 500 and especially qualifying long before I was a fan of F1, Le Mans, or Trans Am. I loved the speeds, close results, and being such on the edge gigantic wrecks when it went wrong. It has been 20+ years since I watched though, maybe I need to give it another shot.

And, once again, Rahal makes it in by the skin of his teeth.

Seems incredible that a team with such chops as RLL can run so well on the road
course one weekend and be so lost on the oval the next.

Every year, Rahal's dramas are so predictable even I can see them coming.

they were lucky Dixon survived that massive crash a few years ago

they were lucky Kirkwood’s wheel went into the parking lot and not the stands

they were lucky none of this week’s crashes got into the catch fencing

    luck runs out eventually…

That fast 6 was fun. Indycar doesn't do a lot of things right but they do this one well.

Can Shwartzman do it for 500 miles? Hard to tell. Lots can go wrong and I wonder what a rookie crew doing so many pit stops might crack under the pressure. Sato and Palou have the advantage.

My guess is in the next week you're going to see another Sponsor added to the car and jerseys.

and WTF Penske? 2 cars are DQ'd? FAIL!
