Dear friends, I ask for help. My problem is that when I stop at a traffic light and putting my brake pedal, my Puro still seeks to go forward, that is, I have to constantly keep my leg on the brake on traffic lights or traffic jam. In my F8, if I squeeze the brake slightly stronger, it remains in place and does not seek to leave and I can freely remove my leg from the brake pedal. Could you please tell me how to solve this problem, I couldn't find an answer in the manual, and there is no dealer in my country.... Wbr
I think this is normal behavior. I could be wrong because they are always changing things, but, in the past at least, the DCT based GT cars like California and Portofino, and Lusso all have this behavior where you take your foot off the brake at a stop and the car “creeps forward” built into the drive system, much like a traditional automatic gearbox car. If the Purosangue is the same as those, this would be normal behavior. Compared to the sports models like 458, 488, F8, F12, 812, where the car behaves more like a traditional manual transmission car, you have to apply the throttle to get the car to move from a stop, they do not “creep forward”. I have a feeling what you are experiencing is normal for this model. Id note in the past the GT cars do not feature a race nor CT off mode, which the sports models have. However, an exception is the Portofino M, which added a race mode, and maybe Roma (I forget now). I don’t know if it’s possible to defeat this creep forward behavior in the menus, it might be, but I doubt it.
I've only seen an option to toggle off creep mode on EVs (I used to own a Lucid). Not sure this has ever been a feature on any of my other cars.
To activate auto-hold braking on a Ferrari Purosangue, you need to engage the electric parking brake. After you have come to a complete stop, press the button located near the electric parking brake. This will activate the automatic brake hold, keeping the brakes engaged until you press the accelerator pedal. To release the hold braking, you can either press the brake pedal and push the button again, or press the accelerator pedal.
I wonder if the instructions @Gh21631 posted are for the parking brake when you want to leave the car running in N. You would have to do this literally every time. I remember when I got my first Portofino there was some talk about how the dealer computer could turn off the auto-creep feature. You might be able to still do that, but I'm not sure.
This is impossible stupid, constantly pull the lever electric parking brake in order to activate auto holding in the 1st gear It is terribly annoying ...
I’m a little confused. Why is it important to be able to take the foot off the brake when stopped? I keep my foot on the brake even when driving a manual transmission.
my old car had this feature and my new one does not … and i’m so disappointed I just figured every modern car had this feature and never checked … when in traffic or the drive thru line or a long light I could take my foot off the brake and stretch it out or whatever … maybe i’m just old and I do have a bad back but driving for long periods of time was just much more comfortable with this feature. Not the end of the world but definitely won’t make the same mistake next time I buy a car. And this from a guy who drove a manual for 40 years where that wasn’t an option!
I didn’t even know my F8 had that feature! The only cars I have known to have that were EV’s. Now I am going to have to see which cars do and do not. I’ll report!
