I am one of those people who had to buy a Spider to get early access to Purosangue. So I started with lukewarm enthusiasm, but ended up with a relatively well loaded configuration. I waited 1.5 years and recently received delivery.

Since delivery I have to admit that the car has grown on me. Especially coming from the TT S Cab, I am amazed at how well the car combines emotion and function. We are keen golfers and the Roma Spider makes it much easier to load the bags into the back seat and the boot has more space for bags etc.

Driving is so much more fun - the noise, the handling and also the size of the car in general. The controls are difficult to understand at first, but once you get through the pain of understanding the functions and the (Italian) logic, it all makes perfect sense.

One thing we noticed is that the car seems to be "everybody's darling". People spontaneously reach out and express their admiration. Roma Spider is not the usual Ferrari and people like the softness of the design.

All in all, a great experience with a special car....even though Ferrari pushed the car on me at first.

I think its a great alternative to the Turbo S especially if you are doing pre-owned.

but try posting that on a porsche board..its blasphemy
