Awesome. Thank you for doing the leg work on this. I just ordered a smoked set for the 430.
I'd be in on this deal if you didn't mention Morimoto. Nice looking lights with marginal quality and terrible customer service. Not going through that hassle twice (still driving with my half-burned Morimoto turn signal).
Darn - sorry to hear that - I've done the Morimoto taillights and they were great (after I figured out the pre-messed-up wiring in my car). Kevin
Quick question for you guys. I have a 430 scuderia and under the compatibility it just shows 430 berlinetta and spider. Are the scud headlights different?
Same headlights minus the carbon option. In fact, their demo car in the video on their website is actually a scud.
Well, you have to take into account that I drive my 360 20K miles per year and lots at night. So the installation of any aftermarket parts will quickly show the quality divide between those and OEM. Same with the HID to LED headlights. I've burned through quite a few so far. Every 6 months or so they burn out, so I just keep them on hand at $100 per set. So, if you have an occasional driver, then aftermarket works just fine, however if you use the car daily, proceed with caution. At $300 per light I guess the Morimoto lights aren't a deal breaker, but if a $3K headlight failed, faded or leaked, I'd be pissed if I were out that money.
Thanks for that feedback! I also placed an order @GogglesPisano - appreciate setting this whole thing up.
The 430 carbon ones are backordered. When they do come in, we may need to have a headlight swap party in NJ at my house. I'm sure removing and reinstalling the front bumper and wheel liners is a lot easier on my lift than on jack stands, so maybe we could take a day and do a couple of cars at once.
