Does anyone know of the roof not working because of the two front (central) parking sensor known to be faulty. Battery is new. There is a parking sensor fault. Roof closed and water tight but says “complete cycle” and doesn’t open when pressing button. However, the windows do go down and that’s itI! No movement of the roof.

Are you certain it is the front sensors that are bad? The roof won't run a cycle if the rear sensors are blocked/not working correctly. You might also check the position of the movable shelf in the trunk; the roof won't drop if that shelf is in the upper position.

Beyond that, I would suggest having a dealer diagnose it, as they have the tools to see precisely what the roof mechanism is complaining about.

I was told that the front two sensors were faulty after diagnostics by a Ferrari / Lamdo specialist. I was surprised myself with this finding. The rear shelf is lowered but still no joy. The ultimate step would be main dealer but I wanted the findings to be corroborated by someone’s experience.

You would need to buy a code reader like a ap200 and see what codes and data values you are getting

It sounds like it does not know the top has completed the cycle. There are switches in the latch and it may not be "seeing" that signal.
It will need a diagnostic system that can read all of the sensor positions. It should also show why it is not going down. Not really a self diagnosis situation.

I am minded to agree with you. Some micro switch not talking to the module somewhere. However, I went to a Ferrari specialist who carried out the diagnostics and said, quite confidently that it was the two front sensors on top of the front grille (the unpainted ones, lucky me ?!). He did not mention anything else.
