In UK GTB order book closed in 2024.I haven't checked but I would be surprised if you can still order a new GTS here.

Production is going on, but it's now very probably really sold out; there may be the opportunity of some customers cancelling an order of a car reaching the end of its production, but there is no guarantee for that.
I believe the GTB, or at least GTS, will continue to be produced in parallel to the Speciale for a while, but these cars are part of the backlog and no real new order could be taken - only Speciale orders can now be taken, and due to the increased price and restricted availability, Ferrari cannot wait too long before releasing the 296M (they will need to fill the future pipeline).

After SF90M 6 months - expect 296M more limited than VS.
SF90M will give us a lot of insight to 296M.
XX has more hp than stated and expect even more hp in SF90M 296M
Buying three models of 296 SF90 a lot of brain damage. SF90 will have 9 years since debut to final and 296 maybe 6 - 7 years.

this, you'd imagine a lot of people who lost big money on the 296 aren't going to go for an M

I am not following how 296M can be more limited than 296VS unless this is like the f8 tributo and they plan to make it for 2 years and retire the v6 altogether???

Let's see on SF90M - SF90 296 hit pretty hard. If they want to raise the M price it needs to be limited.
Buying 2nd or 3rd hand hybrid for 500k - more like 2-300k maybe.
Keep in mind they lease a lot of cars - they need to support their residuals.

They still want to sell as many cars as possible - and besides, restricting the sales on a regular model would negatively impact the appeal of the special versions.

This is a great point that hasn't been discussed much. Whatever percentage of 296gtb and gts are leased, even if it is only 30-40%, strategies going forward would likely be intended to elevate residuals rather than further erode. wouldn't make much sense to have a 296M go into production alongside the speciale when there is more time on the clock for many of the leased vehicles.

It won't be, it's the new iteration of the car. Like 458-488. Standard new model.

thank you for confirming. are you excited about the 296M? From a engine/drivetrain standpoint, how significant of a step up will it be compared to 296? Ferrari have to do something special to showcase their technological prowess when termarrio V8 revs out to 10K.

Personally no... but it will please many here, and that is the most important... it is quite clean for now, in the spirit of supertourer Roma 2 which was made by the designer of the Monza and Roma 1 ... there are new turbos being tested... it is still too early to talk about it

SF90M gets a big hp boost - expect 296M to get same.
    The M seems to be a common theme - Roma SF90 296.
    From Ferrari -
The Roma M is expected to feature some cosmetic changes, while retaining its overall profile. It could get redesigned headlamps and taillights, new wheels and other minor design tweaks, while the cabin will incorporate the latest tech.
Ferrari is likely to retain the same 3.9-liter twin-turbo V8 engine as the outgoing model, but we might see a slight bump in performance. In its current configuration, it develops 620 hp @ 7500 rpm and is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
It is odd that Ferrari calls it the successor but its name is unchanged just adding the M - which creates a bit of confusion. We will see on July1 Roma M and SF90M in August

Apparently Roma M will be called Amalfi
SF90M will be called 499GTB, or at least those are the rumors.
