It's obvious someone like Max will drive anything fast, what makes me laugh was the story that Elton was all instinc, so atlented he could drive anything..BS, he can't drive squat if it hasn't got greta balance. Max and Charles and the only ones who cand drive any piece of crap. In a very good stabele car, lewis (the old one at least) couls probably match them) in a difficult pointy car, no way, hence he's regularly beaten by half a second by Charles...
Have you guys seen the video where they ask Charles to combine the perfect racing driver? his picks:
    Overtake -Senna
    Defense -Himself
    driving in the rain -Max
    One lap speed -Himself

Its about getting results with what you have at the end of the day. Max can get results. So has Sir Lewis Hamilton, i've seen him drive both,he doesn't prefer a loose car even though he's won with them. To me it doesn't matter what driving style you have. As for RB, the car is designed around Max and the 2nd car is less priority, results are not a solid foundation to gauge.

Well as of late, Russell has beaten Hamilton 2x in a season and Hamilton beat Russell once in a season.

Now, Leclerc is beating Hamilton with 6 races in, so adaptability is not Hamiltons strong point.

You're not going to get 100% out of Hamilton if the car isn't dialed in PERFECTLY.....then and only then, Hamilton will put in the effort.

Max's car(RB21) isn't dialed in to his liking for 2025 but Max gets the maximum out of the car that Max is making it difficult for BOTH Mclaren drivers and even then, the WDC title isn't in the bag for either Mclaren driver as long as Max is within striking distance.

Since his first year, Sir Lewis Hamilton has already adapted to many regulations, teams, etc. I've already seen enough. His career is way more extensive. As of now I don't think he could drive any car as fast as he did years ago. Yet he is still close to Lerclerc in points, despite age difference and new team. When I watch Ferrari now, I think Leclerc would have no chance against a younger Sir Lewis Hamilton.

I would include Alonso to this list(sorry Pedro ).

+1 Yep. Let the Mclaren drivers take points from each other. WCC for Mclaren, WDC could go to Max.

I guess it proves that you don't have to be loved to get attention. Marketers know this. Especially regarding Hamilton.

Hamilton then isn't the same Hamilton now.

Alonso then is somewhat the same as Alonso now.

Now here's the rub, Hamilton didn't win his 2nd WDC title till he was 29yo with MercedesAMGF1....and it took off from there.

Max is only 27yo and he's got 4WDC under his belt and he too is breaking records. Redbull saw a young and talented Verstappen and the rest is history.

Max isn't in F1 to win personality of the year award or win over social media accounts and to be honest, Max could care less of social media and F1 journo's and all the vitriol. Max is here to win F1 titles. Yes, he pushes people's buttons but that's just the way Max is and he's not going to cower or change his persona and/or character.

Max is no doubt building an impressive career, but I don't compare the two at this point. Sir Lewis Hamilton has done way more, resume is way more extensive than Max. Nobody is asking Max to change his behavior.

    One thing I have noticed:

Alonso has a karting school back in Spain. He keeps his skills honed when not racing in F1 by going to his karting school...hence why his skills show in F1. Alonso I believe is 44yo and still training himself.

Max does IRACING and is currently getting his license to race at the Nordschleife by practicing in a Ferrari GT3 and is doing very well in a car that is not front-end loaded.

Leclerc also does IRACING but not as much as Max.

Now, you have a 7xWDC title holder whom on his time off does doesn't do anything close to the 3 drivers I just mentioned. He would rather go to fashion gala's because at the moment..."I have 7 WDC titles and I don't have to train(at my current age) and hone my driving skills." Hey, to each his own right?

    Food for thought.

Max is winning. Why would he need to change.

Lewis goes to fashion shows with morally dodgy people and can't beat his teammate.

If he doens't care anymore he should do the decent thing and go away, frees up a seat which he says is so damn important, right? Or is the messiah that never was trundling around fighting rookies and Williamses actually really important?

Yes, Sir Lewis Hamilton has always taken more time to do personal activities. I've always stated that. He has enough natural talent to do this. Other drivers have to constantly hone there skills all the time, and still can't build a career like Sir Lewis Hamilton's. Sir Lewis Hamilton has enough natural talent to get away with it. Others don't. If Sir Lewis Hamilton honed his skills as much as others, he would probably have 9-10 championships.

It took Schumacher several years to get a Ferrari he could drive and dominate.
And that was with testing 365 days a year.
