Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'll have a lot more. I have been debating buying my father's 2001 456M GTA and decided that I think I am going to do it. Going through a few things to see what needs attention cosmetically and minor functionality. Yesterday I noticed the side pieces to the headlight housing are cracked and some broken. They are visible when the headlights are up and painted in body color. I'll bet it is a common issue on these cars. What have owners done to fix the issue? Ricambi does not show those pieces on their headlight diagram. Thanks.

Maybe I should post a picture...

I looked at that and do not think it is the housing. There are four pieces that screw to the housing I believe. They are body color and attached with two screws.

Maybe a photo would help us?

    Scott,

I remember looking at an M-GT years ago with the same fractures at the headlight sides on the screws. Couldnt tell if it was cosmetic or would eventually effect function. But it was an eyesore, no doubt

Sorry, was working on other stuff and did not come back to this thread. Yes, the area to which I am referring is where the screws are in your photos. I thought it was a side plastic piece. I see now it is part of the housing. Most likely NLA and expensive. Looks like a common problem area on 456s.
