Yessir, I’m in Claremont…I may have seen your white FGT around
Ordered! Agreed…it does look large compared to the FGT I do agree the FGT design is quite elegant with seductive lines. I’m drawn to the designs of the 2000 decade that are more curvaceous. The only other modern design I like of the current era is the DeTomaso P72…then of course one of the greatest designs of all time is the 330 P4 or 250 TR…wish I had $50mil lol
Thought so, parents lived off Padua. Was living there when we had the remodel going around. Daughter goes to school off San Antonio in Upland, always in the area. Congrats! You are going to love it.
I was on it when I was looking at getting one. I didn't but it's okay I've spent 6 years in therapy. My take is as the cars jumped from low to mid 200K to over 375K lots of folks stopped driving them and purely looked at them as investments. JMO, but I believe that's one of the issues. Especially cars with under 8K miles. Also, as a buddy just picked one up and had it serviced and did some upgrades at Riches place. I've learned there are a lot of parts which are NLA and ones that are around are insanely expensive. Try and get a rear clam shell or a nose piece and headlights plus many others. It's sad Ford does not want to support their 100th anniversary masterpiece.
It isn't all doom and gloom parts wise....there is actually a grass roots level of support building that makes parts acquisition easier than when I bought mine 5 years ago. Body parts coming to the market, some support for gauges, even have a few folks working on headlight solutions. I'm part of the cult that drives their cars at least a decent bit (800-1,000 miles a year), and since I paid basically what owners paid in 2005, there isn't any guilt. I had considered selling it this year to possibly buy a new 750S, the tariff and economy has shelved that idea for the time being.
[QUOTE="Shark01, post: Hope you're right, Rich told him otherwise. I heard some crazy numbers for clam shells and headlights.
Thought this was interesting…Aston Martin stamp on calipers lol…from the old parts bin when Ford owned Aston. My buddy has all white, so we changed calipers…I wanted red. Also installed new shocks he fabricated. This car is a hoot to drive! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
05-06 are hot it seems. 20s not so much. Sounds like a regular '20 GT without carbon or heritage pack are around the $700k/$800k for low miles?
I don't think you are going to find any for $700k. $800-900k for low option cars, some poorly optioned cars with very low miles are selling for mid $800s but these cars are going to require a lot of work if they have been sitting 5+ years.
Yea, he is my personal mechanic Huge thanks to “whiteout”…I got a gift coming your way …something you need for your GT Here he is working on my brakes (at least his legs) lol Also a comparison of stock vs his shocks Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That was a very low option build, if I recall seeing it prior it doesn't even have exterior carbon. Yet they spent $20,000 on custom green stripes.
I don't remember all that many options available when we specced it. Stripes, carbon wheels were the two that i remember now..but been a while. What were the big cost items?
