That's kind of the issue. I don't have that emotional connection to the car for some reason. Maybe I just need more drive time, but not sure. Perhaps I romanticized the manual aspect too much. The sound is amazing and it is beautiful and the click clack on the gates is also hypnotic.

But for example, I turo'd a 911 earlier this week because I'm trying to get out of my M8 as a daily and go to a 911, and I couldn't contain myself. I just WANTED that car. And then I woke up at night physically missing it.

If it's just a car to you, then the above arguments don't hold weight. The F430 has to mean something first. I've gone through a lot of cars that were fun to own and I wanted for some reason or another but didn't miss owning them. Trade it in for something that will strike passion if that is the case.

I am usually a 2 year car guy. After about 2 years I get the itch for something new. I am coming up on 18 months with the f430 and every no and then think about getting something I can use more often or something that I am not scared to park in a busy parking lot. I have been looking at C7 Z06's, Shelby 350 GT's and I keep feeling like I will be missing something. Nobody tells you this before you get your attainable dream car! It ruins all the other cars!!!!

Nope converted. If it was factory would be a different story, then get into the whole collector's aspect, etc.

Soon the F430 will be a classic, but it's truly the last of the raw single clutch Ferrari's and will be very much missed by you if you sell it. I love that my kids are now older and can ride in it with me when we go get Pizza or Crumble Cookie, but it s special car with a body line that most people still turn their heads on and stop and look. No new 2025 Porsche or McLaren does this. It's easy to fix/maintain it to a certain degree and still enjoyable to drive with it's unique exhaust note. I would not sell mine as its a part of the family.

Long story short, we sold our first 430 and regretted it greatly so we bought another one. I don't know that we could ever sell it.

Decided to keep the car for now. Thanks to everyone for helping me think through it.

Glad to hear that! What a b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l color. (coming from someone who pretty much only likes red and yellow ones)

You made the right decision, if I could only turn back time and keep mine!! Since then chased the V12 and bought an FF, then wanted modern and bought a Roma, all I ever needed was the F430...I'm not very smart :)

What I find interesting about the 430 is that my 18 year old son's friends all call it their favorite Ferrari now. Back when they were 13, it was the 458, but now that they drive and have cars of their own, they like the lack of screens and the look of the 430 over the 458 and newer Ferraris. They also seem to prefer the Gallardo over the newer Lamborghinis. Perhaps it's a resurgence of love for the mid-2000s, as my 25-year-old is currently shopping around for an Elise.

Agree this is what I did. Went from 360 to 430 to 458 to FF. FF stock is a little tame, but once you do high flow cats and x pipe or Novitec package like I did, it's by far the best Ferrari I have had and in long sweeper turns a complete missile. Probably the most slept on Ferrari.

Funny to read these similar stories. A month ago I bought my old Z3M back that I had for 10 years and traded in for the F430 haha. I’m also buying my old e39 M5 back since I miss that car a lot too; barely drove it..

Now, I’m also in the same boat, given that I have a 3yo girl and my wife just gave birth to a second girl. I want to enjoy driving but mostly the ‘Ferrari-experience’ with the entire family. Hence, I need a 612 too! Haha.

I’m keeping my F430 because I love the car, but when I have the budget for another car (and my wife’s blessing) I want to add a 612.

If you don’t need the money or the space, then don’t sell it.
