It sounded very throaty but hard to tell a big difference with standard car, the exhaust looks massive in person as well.

A lot of people were referencing how low the vented carbon piece in front of the front wheel looked

Indeed, it makes sense when the VS is just a more exclusive / more expensive model, not fot the customers who want a track-oriented car but for those who can afford the increased price.
Then you have the regular version (GTB and GTS), with one package more comfort oriented and one more (but still lightly) track oriented (the AF package), and you have the same options for the VS.
In the end there is no real track-oriented version, since the customers are more defined by their buying power than by what they want from a car (but nobody cares about that, the new target customers are just supposed to want to show how special they are by how much they can spend).

Nothing to do with new customers - in fact the complete opposite in the case of VS, sold to the ones who have earned a special edition
Judging others - you and Day can't compete so you judge ones that can and win.
You can't compete with VS owners - that's your problem, might want to "work" on that.

I think you are missing the point. There is the standard 296, with a road focused and a track focused version (standard and AF) and there there is an even better 296 Speciale (think 911 GT3 vs GT3 RS with even more power, sharper handling, more aero etc) with a choice of suspensions, depending on the owners' independent needs. Offering the Speciale only with the hard core suspension would make in unusable on many roads and that would defy its purpose as a road legal car. That is why Ferrari is offering both options.

If you want a track car, they offer those too. The Speciale, like all VS, is a street car first. More focused, yes. But still a street car.

I do not want to compete, I was proposed a Pista and eventually declined it (I had put a deposit that I took back).
Anyway, I do not deny that you are more special than me :), I am glad you enjoy it.

We all know why Ferrari is offering different suspensions.
It's got nothing to do with the offerings - nothing,

For those wondering the trunk space is just marginally impacted, more like a lip impeding slightly only - looks pretty much same space as GTB/GTS

and for interior, I actually feel the cabin is a little bigger in terms of knee/leg room as the lower dash appears to be thinner/ rakes back more without a glove box.

I took some shots of the new carbon bits to see what they actually are.

though the new steering wheel is no doubt more functional, it doesn’t look as nice as current ones.

overall, The car is flippin gorgeous!!

There’s also a weird sensor thing on top of the steering wheel (between the wheel and screen) looks kind of like a camera pointed at the driver, a bit ugly, probably a regulation thing.

    Nice demo spec :)
Thanks for the plate, I guess the "Racing Corsa livery" is for the stripes, and then the numbers (front and doors) are separate options.

I think it's a driver focus monitor, it will watch your eyes and facial expressions, and warn you when you are getting tired. Just what we all wanted! (sarcasm)

I look at the different suspension choices as Ferrari offering its idea of a "factory Novitec" kit, for those who want to increase the involvement a little more, but you will have to sacrifice some things like a little of the comfort or the versatility of the lifter. We get the choice.

You took it back for one reason - it's ok to
The guy who got the Pista must be miserable - hopefully he also received VS.
Trust me you are special - stating you took back deposit on Pista is "very" special.

What interesting is the Verde Nurburgring (called verde Assenzio on the plaque) is paint code PNTN… maybe I’m thinking of the old paint pricing, but doesn’t that put it as the same pricing as classic metallic colours like Grigio silverstone etc (PNCC)? Around 15kusd

From an old (2019 for F8) pricing I have, there was PNTA (out of range) as the cheapest, and PNTH (historical) and PNTN (special), both at the same price, which was double that of PNTA.

Whatever - you placed Pista deposit and then pulled it, obviously you gave the deposit knowing what it looked like.
You are so full of beans ... just stop! It's ok if you can't afford a car no one cares - just stop putting down others who do the hard work to own them. Look man I don't care if you drive a tricycle, just show some respect to those that bust their are to get these toys, what they do with them is their decision.

Ferrari usually does not do a great job really making the spec of their launch cars show off their Tailor Made special options. The VS GTB is well done, something different that looks SPECIAL. I like the green against the orange interior, fun. The green looks close to this color, green works really well on the styling of the 296. I actually really like the exterior spec of the car I just posted. The dreamlines really helps show off the curves and form development of the car for some strange reason.

I own all three, 4RS, 992 GT3RS and 296GTB, I prefer the 296 over the Porsches placing the 4RS last, the 3RS is a fantastic car but it’s underpowered for what it is, 296 is telepathic, it’s like putting on a power suit, just like my SF90 which I ultimately rate higher than the 296, you really have to be very in-tune and a very good driver to understand the minimal nuances between these models, ultimately the general user can not discern the additional “feel” you might get from the Porsches if any and would be a lot more satisfied and fulfilled with the 296 which is a phenomenal more “complete” car and in a different league IMO, the Speciale will only amplify that and I am assuming it will be an exhilarating ride.
