    I thought it would be useful to maintain a current software / firmware version thread for Roma. Software versions do vary by region. If you have any newer version than those listed, please reply to this thread with the version number and region to keep an up to date repository of information which can then be used to request dealers to update to the latest version. Some dealers are averse to performing software updates unless its a recall / campaign as it ties up a ramp for several hours, which is non revenue generating for them. YMMV.

    thank you for this, production date on my Ferrari Roma spider is June 2024, car not sold and driven until April 2025. Had to be towed (flat bed) back to the dealership after two weeks. Had every error message on the screen. Took 1 week for them to replace the battery! It been back three times since for messages like limited performance, alternator, etc. I have now initiated a buy back. Here are my version numbers. USA here.

    Very strange how a dealer could sell a car with software that is years out of date. I would be rather “unhappy” with the dealer.

    I was wondering if the firmware version is really that out of date. this would have been installed at production of the car? I am unhappy with the dealer they have had the car more than I have.

    Indeed. What is the production date listed on the door jamb sticker (it’s on the passenger door for RHD cars, it may be on the driver door for LHD cars).

    How odd. The factory applied original build software appears to be 2 years out of date!

    And with that software version you likely still would have CarPlay displayed in the centre dash and a “view max” soft button on the steering wheel. Both of which have known issues partially resolved with up to date software.

    The dealer does not even check versions. Many of the errors I’m receiving are documented on this very chat. Others with the same issues as me fixed with updates. Wouldn't the dealer have tsb’s?

    Franchised dealers absolutely should have access to all TSBs and absolutely should check all campaigns / recalls / software updates applicable to any car they sell. As to why it wasn’t done, one can speculate as to the level of care the specific dealer can be bothered to offer.

    Mine’s a 2024 but I will check sw version.

    if you’ve been using the Ferrari charger, don’t. It’s a POS. Will cause untold grief and the dealer doesn’t check functionality. After having several issues I dumped the charger/tender for a ctek and no more issues!

    After 3 weeks they did have to tow the car in and put in a new battery. And I've had the red lights on the Ferrari charger twice now. Looking at the charger number E223709 it shows as a Ctek charger. What Ctek do you recommend. I looked and the ones I found connect to the battery which isn't practical in my world. Thanks for checking the sw versions.

    My software versions match yours. The Roma coupe is on a different version number.

    I use a Ctek MXS 5.0 which works well. Make sure you use AGM mode of course.

    I remember more than once seeing the light flashing on the Ferrari charger when it wasn’t even plugged into the car as if nothing was wrong!

    Coming from the dealer the batteries are often not in good shape so a full charge cycle would really help the batteries initially.
