    Hello all!

I have a 1998 355 GTS in Giallo (yellow) and thinking of installing Morimoto LED taillights in the car. If you haven't seen this video from Studio Motors, The Best Ferrari F355 Build - YouTube , I highly suggesting watching it. What do you think of this look? I know it's controversial to change the original aesthetic of a classic (which some might argue is the most beautiful car ever made), however, I feel like these suit the car fairly well and are completely reversible. Also, I was thinking about updating the headlights & fogs to xenon and converting the amber turn signals to the clear Eurospec. Does anyone have a suggestion on where to find the clear euro signals? I have tried searching without any luck.

Let me know what you think! Regardless, this guy's spec is AWESOME!

I struggle with this but if I had a 355 I would probably ultimately decide against it. When I see cars like this with anachronistic modifications I always think it looks like the owner wished they’d had a newer car. That’s just me, not saying it’s a fact.

They did do a good job tho. They look cool. They just also look out of time to me.

I do have a 355 and feel the same- In their own right I think they look badass and my understanding is that it is a high-quality kit- I just don't think they fit the era/vintage.

But then again I am not a fan of most aftermarket mods on Ferraris other than exhaust so just my opinion.

I say it's your car and enjoy it as you wish

PS- You might check Eurospares for the clear signals- I've bought a few things from them and they are outstanding to deal with.

    Cheers :)

Ahhhh. I’m in agreement and so torn. It’s almost like a restomod for a Ferrari.

10000000%. In 20 years they’ll be perfect for a Ring Brothers 355 build.

I usually agree with what everyone above said about avoiding aftermarket mods on these already stunning cars (“don’t mess with perfection”)—but if being honest, actually quite like this mod. I’d like to see it in person though. Mark me down as a ‘maybe.’

I'd say absolutely not (or hell no). I would however, do European spec rear lighting.

F355s are an old school shape and while I like the concept of the lights but they simply don't suit the character of the car.

I was doing some repairs to my tails around 6 months ago and decided to just convert the whole lot to some high quality LED bulbs instead, all except indicator bulbs so does not affect the blinker speed.

LEDs also have significantly less current draw than halogens, I even enabled some of the factory cut circuits and they now mimic the euro lighting without affecting the fuses.

Everyone has their own opinion of course but I think the stock F355 lights suit the car perfectly.

I also like the quick but soft ramp up/down of an incandescent vs the more abrupt on/off of an LED.

Just my perception of it anyway.

I think folks that modify or don't modify are equally great although I do like it when put some personal touches (wheels, whatever). Personally I think these updated the iconic design of the 355. I have a 355 and might consider swapping to these. If I were ever to sell the car I'd likely sell it in full factory concourse parts.

I am a fan of these lights. I agree that they lend a sort of restomod look, but that is the look I am going for in my F355...

Ok, so I’ve seen tons of pictures of these lights and thought that they were cool but not in keeping with the car. That is, until yesterday when my car on the left was next to F1 Berlinetta on the lift.

For some reason it REALLY worked for me in person…

I think it needs to be paired with a challenge grill to really work well visually.
