We did chat about Tariffs. The conclusion was, who knows. The general belief was that imported cars will have a 10% tariff by the time all the dust settles. (keep in mind they have had a 2.5% tariff for years). The GM told me that he thought at 10% Ferrari would NOT pass that along to the customer (overtly anyway)

Sure would be a pleasant surprise, but I remain skeptical, also because of the tariffs.

A lot of the CF is included in the price of the car. Not all of it, like the side skirts, rear challenge grill area, lower dash, etc, but there's a surprising amount that is included.

For those that got a confirmed allocation and paid the deposit, have you been told you have to keep you current 296 until you physically receive your 296 speciale?

Has anyone got the Speciale in their ‘garage’ on the My Ferrari app yet, or does that only happen after the price lists are released?

Is there a minimum option spend that is required by Ferrari on the 296 Speciale? The dealer mentioned that Ferrari has mandated a minimum spend be done by customers while ordering limited edition vehicles recently. How true is this?

I see a lot of questions and some skepticism. Let me add some clarification to the thread to help clear up the facts. This applies to the US market, but likely applies to all markets.

PPAC - Personalization Package is a required customization pack that must be selected after which a series of features will be automatically added and some are not. The customer can then select/deselect any options they don’t like. Now the good news: All features in PPAC are included in the base price.

Included (and de-selectable) features in the car price:

    Equipment
    • SMRT - Smartphone interface aka Apple CarPlay / Android Auto (Auto-selected with PPAC)
    • WIRE - Wireless charger (Auto-selected with PPAC)
    • ACC1 - Front radar with ACC (Auto-selected with PPAC)
    • ASF1/AFSU - Adaptive front headlights (Auto-selected with PPAC)
    • PAR2 - Front parking sensors

    Carbon
    • FCWS - Central and front lateral spoiler inserts in glossy carbon fiber
    • CEXD - Rear diffuser in glossy carbon fiber
    • CESP - Rear spoiler in glossy carbon fiber
    • CEL2 - Engine bay side panels in glossy carbon fiber
Other standard and included options/features (not de-selectable without special request):

    • INTC - Alcantara on seats, dashboard, and rear bench area and Tecnosky headliner
    • CRPT - Carpets and lower dash in Kyrton technical fabric
    • LEDS - Glossy carbon fiber steering wheel, paddles, and LEDs
    • CIIP - Upper dashboard/instrument cluster in matte carbon fiber
    • CITZ - Central front tunnel in matte carbon fiber with raised center/front section in glossy carbon fiber
    • CISK - Internal sill kick in glossy carbon fiber
    • TIWN - Titanium wheel bolts
    • FCAM - Advanced front cameras hardware and software
    • PAC1 - Rear parking camera
    • RSCH - Carbon fiber Racing Seats
    • RSES - Electric lifter for racing seats
    • EXAT - Titanium exhaust pipes
Enjoy speccing your cars fellow FChatters.

So true. Hope he information above helps you during spec sessions with any sales personnel that have not RTFM ;P

Thank you. So exterior CF options not included are side skirts, front trunk, rear challenge grill, rear spoiler fins, engine cover, filter box covers (the last two aren’t always clear to me). Interior lower dash, carbon around the passenger screen, defroster area under the windshield, and the back behind the seats.

Curious which 296 you have - my GTS top down is better than 765LT top down and far more usable.
Can't say enough good things about Ferrari's hybrid - which I thought would be miserable.
296Spider is a really sweet sports car - struggling to buy the VS coupe. Don't know how much better the VS could be and even if it is - not sure it's enough to lose 296 spider.
Dollar wise -lose 100k on GTS and spend 250k more for VS coupe. idk

GTB. And the gap between 765 and 296 punch isn’t small. It’s really quite noticeable. I love both, they complement each other well. Best I can describe is 765 leans to violent and 296 to refined. GTS wouldn’t work for me, I couldn’t get enough recline in seats to fit!

I am looking at the same math. But will likely go through with the upgrade from GTS to VS. Just saw Shmee youtube video where he went to Maranello to preview VS, and he said 296 prices are firming and turning up in UK, by 10-15%. Hope that's true in US.

For those of you with a coupe allocation, will you spec the glass engine cover or the full exposed carbon one? I’m sure once the price list comes out it’ll be a fairly heft price tag for it.

I just looked at the rough pricing vs the latest I’ve seen for the GTS I have on the way, and the included options/features adds up to roughly $68,260 USD, which is pretty amazing.

Negative. That option is only available for the coupe. On the Speciale Aperta, the H shaped “tonneau” area is gloss black and the engine compartment cover is Lexan aka plastic. No CF to glass option.

So the engine covers are cf, and then filter boxes are an option?
