    Hey Guy's,

    Has anyone had this happen to their 6112.?
    On start up the message "control device is missing" with a countdown to the right to zero.
    Sometimes when it reaches zero the radio shuts off sometimes it resumes playing before hitting the zero mark.

    I know the 6112 is a marginal radio at best but it is original and for the amount of times I use it I'm fine with it.

    Did not do any battery resets to see if it resets the internals.

    Slide the Ferrari badge to the right, remove the section that includes the volume button, clean the contacts with a dry cloth and reinstall. The picture looks like it might already not be clicked back in enough, so might just be that

    Update: I do believe this was it, the knob control assy was properly fitted so maybe just high resistance with a pin contact.
    When disconnecting the knob assy it posted the same error message.
    Cleaned with electrical cleaner and weapon service type Q-tip.
    I'll update as time goes on.
