When the time comes for new tires, where is the best place to get them installed? Should I go to a Ferrari certified shop, an actual dealer or can I go to a tire business (NTB, Pep Boys, Costco (lol), etc.)? My guess is I’d have to order them from the place or perhaps I can ship them from tirerack.com to the business. What brand(s) do you recommend? I use this as my DD and no track/racing. Is/are there any other things to keep in mind besides just the tires?

    TIA.

Honestly, I've used Discount Tire with no problems -- but it's really going to depend on your local shop. The most conservative answer is to go to the dealership, but you'll pay for that privilege.

I've got some sort of Michelin tire on the car, I don't recall the exact model at this moment.

What ever you do only get the best tyres I’ve got Michelin ps 4s on mine you can get them k rated which are Ferrari approved but you don’t need the k really make no difference unless your going do 200 mph
If you get a cheap tyre then be prepared to slide all over the road in the wet
    1 Michelin pss 4s

    3 continental
These would be my choice continental would be the cheapest but a fantastic tyres

I've had various flavors of Michelin Pilot Sports on our Cali, and am happy with them.
    Currently, they're Micheline Pilot Sport 4S - Ferrari (K) - spec.

I have had great luck with Tire Rack drop shipping them to Boardwalk Ferrari,
and they do the install. They do my Porsche 911 and the wife's Cayenne. Might cost
more, but no hiccups in 10+ years.

p.s. If you get Costco to agree to change them, let me know how that goes! :)

I had Costco do Michelin PS4S on my Cali. No issues. I took just the wheels.

Lets not put these cars or any car for that matter on a different level. Tire install is the same on all aspect. Take it where they are careful with them, thats all!

I used Tire Rack for the tires and the mobile installer that looked/sounded most professional. He did a very fine job in my driveway, had the latest balancing equipment, and took the old tires away. I put a set of General G-Max tires($150 each) on my Portofino and the car did not immediately reject them, take that tire snobs! Nice to hear about Costco, they refused my Cali T a couple of years ago, said no Ferraris.

On a car with carbon ceramic brakes you have the added risk that if they hit them with the wheel they are likely to chip and will need replacement to the tune of $5k per. I would use the dealer for such an ocasional expense if it's only a couple hundred extra.
