Had a brand new AMG GLE 63s that continually had problems. Got rid of it and got a Urus Performante. Zero issues. UP truly is a one-car garage car that does it all if you had to go that route.

It seems like everyone who has a Urus really loves them. Something to keep in mind for me on my next daily search.

It's very good. It gets negative heat from its weight gain, but that is relative to the F90 CS which really was the pinnacle of M5.

It's really an incredible car - you dont feel the weight when you drive it and it behaves like an M5; a monster if you want it, or a tame luxury sedan....your choice. I think its weight shows up if you track it but not sure why someone would buy it with the intent of doing that. I think BMW did an excellent job navigating emissions standards emerging globally while retaining a TT v8 under the hood. Use it with all the dials turned up and in hybrid and it manages anything you throw at it.

Its competitors are the GT63 and RS7 now the E63 is gone (just rumors that it returns as a v8 in 2026). They are in a similar weight class, but I think it really is the best of the 3.

FWIW, Chris Harris finally got in on the track, and he clearly took it through its paces and fell in love. Unlike the Doug Demuro light touches, he runs cars hard - it came out on the other end and he was smiling.

I like that Chris drives them, while Doug “quirks” them. I used both POV’s as needed, but only one for driving impressions.

I have a 488 spider and my daily driver is a Porsche 992 carerra s. Almost as fast as my Ferrari, comfortable, great tech, looks great, more practical, and even has a small back seat. Just not as sexy or exciting as the Ferrari.

Wrap it in Verde Singh to match its two door brother. Or do black with Singh accents to be the opposite!

Better ride feel and handling, able to adjust compression/rebound and also able to adjust ride height.

For me, this is a must upgrade if you actually want to drive the car.....right up there with the pulley, tune, exhaust, and short shifter

So how does this compare versus the other cars you have own(ed)? I love mine, but can't afford to buy much else so always interested in how it compares.

Great question…I’ve been meaning to do a Ford vs Ferrari write up, just haven’t gotten around to it. But here are some basic thoughts…
I absolutely love the deep V8 grumble American muscle that contrasts with the high pitched whine of the Speciale. Speciale still handles much more agile and nimble with a lighter feel, engine spools up quicker, it’s just overall more precise. FGT handles well but heavier feel, acceleration is more brute. Overall feel drives similar to CGT, but nothing beats the high, quick rev of the CGT with its tiny composite clutch. CGT feels stiffer due to CF tub and chassis. Design wise, I love the FGT overall and it carries more presence IMO save the MSV, although that attracts a different crowd.
