Hi All, I am thinking of buying a 2018 GTC4Lusso with 25,000 miles to replace my Maserati GranTurismo which has given me 12 years of trouble free driving. I’d be grateful for any pointers and also details about how prevalent the PTU issue is on the Lusso. The car has a 2 year power warranty on it and one service left on its 7 year plan. Thanks
There is a full thread on it, so best to look it up. But apparently on the Lusso the failure rate is less than 1%. Just keep some money aside just in case, and forget about it.
There are threads on here about people tracking the failure data. It’s definitely something to be aware of but i really do not worry about the ptu that much. When it happens it will be a 10-15k issue and then move on. The ptu is definitely an issue but I think there’s more FUD around it than there needs to be.
I had a PTU failure but to be honest I wouldn't worry about it....very low probability and with aftermarket fixes out there it will not break the bank Congrats on the car and your certain to love it....
