You listened carefully to the client speech, but reality is quite different ! The management thought that everyone was eagerly awaiting the electric Ferrari (which says a lot about the brand's level of culture...), but in light of the commercial disaster of electric supercars, it is now necessary to tell a new beautiful story to sell a few...

I will just allow myself to quote Einstein :

" Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity. But as for the universe, I have not yet acquired absolute certainty about it."

Or the Mondial, 250 TR, Ferrari has a history of 4 cylinder racing engines, but I see you know that.

I don't doubt that in anyway. If the Pininfarina or Rimac was selling I would gather Ferrari would up the number of electric cars they had planned. But like previously mentioned they are watching what consumers want, their clientele as well and they see there is no interest in this category, which is a good thing in my opinion.

I appreciate different views and perspectives. i can understand the V6 being lighter (definitely a big reduction in weight from a V12). At the end an important element for me has been the sound of a NA motor but also equally important is the handling, direct front end and braking. i like how sharp the 296 is, has better braking, better handling, better front end feel than the NA mid-engine cars of the past (only talking non-special series comparing apples to apples). I also agree that each F car offers a different experience. i was pleasantly surprised with how well the 12C front end felt. more stable. congrats on the F80 btw.

You are missing a major point - no one has to buy a Ferrari.
It's a want - we are all big boys - don't feel sorry for some dude who lost 100k on a Ferrari - it's senseless. A female who's dressed to kill is a LOT more expensive - add some zero's.

What an absurd statement. The F80 is a technological powerhouse.

What negative sentiments? The F80 is sold out. Regarding the Temerario's egine, it makes the same power as the F80's, although it 33% larger in displacement. Cylinder count and RPMs are irrelevant. What matters is how an engine performs and sounds. Not to mention that the Temerario also reaches peak power at 9K RPM. The extra revs are useless if they don't produce extra power, or even worse, if the power diminishes. Finally, how do we know how the F8o sounds from inside before even hearing it?

I know its sold out, but just like the 296, there are quite a few that have no interest or negative sentiments. Whether that's due to lack of knowledge, perception, bias or otherwise...not here to judge. Time will tell and perhaps some may convert. I hope F80 engine turns out to be the best engine ever. It would be great to hear how ferrari pushed the boundaries of innovation in developing that engine. the info on the ferrari website about linkage to 499P, F1 etc sounds more marketing. Unfortunately, even the 296VS reveal video was straight out of fast and the furious.

As for the sound issue is not a Ferrari issue, it is a regulation issue. Ferrari can only do so much once turbos and GPFs muffle the sound. they've done a good job with the 296 and i think 296VS will be even better...unfortunately on this front, I need to move on have gradually accepted the reality of the world we live in.

All Ferraris are like that, and so are Mclarens. You can improve the looks of any recent Ferrari by using spacers and slightly lowering it. The only ones who do it right are Porsche with the GT cars (at the expense of comfort). Also lamborghini to a lesser extent.

tbh i never noticed it until now. In pic 2 &3 is the wheel turned in a bit perhaps due to the steering not on center?

Well I think you answered your own question. But also the 458 was never that low unless you’re including high mileage or ugly specs.

The F80 may be a technological marvel. But it’s not a car people aspire to like past Ferrari hypercars. You’re missing the context of my post.

100% needs spacers. That being said this has become true for most modern cars today. Almost all cars I'ver bought in the past have needed spacers.

Its attributed IMO to a few reasons: 1) Aerodynamics 2) Pedestrian Safety Regulations 3) Extended suspension travel within the wheel well.

However, a good looking offset is very important to me.

There is no obligation to love and legitimize everything Ferrari does! I would even say that the opposite attitude is beneficial on all levels, including one's own personality. It is not necessary to move forward with the herd to be happy.;)

Thank you, finally a common sense educated post, I can not wait to come back to some of the comments related to F80 in the next few years.

The F80 is peak automotive for the road you can buy right now, nothing even comes close, 499P Stradale.
