So a driver gets picked up by at team at a young and goes on to succeed. I guess its his fault LOL. We are going to go down this road.........oh my.

13? Didn't know Sir Lewis Hamiltom had to wait till 13 to get a helping hand. Max was already setup after he started walking.

Max was setup with genetic skill and talent from his parents? I'll accept that!

Like i said many times his numbers are meant to be broken. You got put them in persective
1- Lewis never was on a bad team
2- A guy like Senna raced when there were 16 races a year TOPS with 160 or so races in 10 yea career, nowadays in 10 years you would have 230 gp
3-Guy starts earlier... I dont see how Max will not crush Lewis' record if he stays healthy and on a good team

Doesnt make lewis bad, thats just how it is

Comparing generations of drivers and cars leads to nothing. Its relative to that era and time. Circular and nothing more.
So Lewis not on a bad team. Good for him. Same for Max lol. Spent how long on a bad team. They proved themselves early. Credit to both. They are showing up to win in cars capable of winning. Thats literally the job. No one's fault certainly not the driver who executes under pressure when needed.

Agree on the number of races per year.

When comparing Schumacher's races per year vs Hamiltons races per year, Hamilton has a 21 race lead over Schumacher WHEN THEY WON THEIR WDC TITLES.

So either add 21 races (won) to Schumacher's total races he won in the years he won to equal Hamiltons years OR delete 21 races(won) to Hamilton's total races won in the years he won to equal Schumacher years. Either way, Schumacher comes out on top over Hamilton.

So the comparison between Schumacher vs Hamilton in total races won is from completely different era's due to the amount of races held in each drivers specific era when they won titles.

Why not? The same Wikipedia tells you that Lewis Hamilton is the greatest, or at least one of the greatest. My delusion is less relevant than your delusion when you using the same criteria?

Going to disagree there. It took Senna 2 years to be on a winning team. Ham was on a team which for year ONE could win 10 years a race. When you factor the years of dominance in a 24 races per season it makes HUGE gaps.
A guy like Senna was 3 years on a TOP team at 16 wins a race, and for 2 races he had prost so i value a lot more those stats than a max or ha peak years with Perez or Bottas... Its like mansell in 92, no competition from their #2 driver... That really skews the stats... That being said, i dont think Max or Lewish wouldnt have wanted to face a better #2 but the team got smart and chose clear hierarchy

History will look kindly upon Sir Lewis. He is still building his resume. Brundle is far from an impartial fan and that’s OK. Lewis has been a fantastic ambassador for F1 as well as one of the best drivers all time. Fangio should be on “The list”

Yep…more races…more chances to win. Say like 2023, perhaps?

Again with the “greatest” BS…YOU quote Wiki, not me.
Hey genius. I never said Lewis was the Greatest. Not even once, because, IMO, there are too many variables in EVERY sport, over time, to call anyone “The Greatest”. So, you and Bas learn how to read, step away from Wiki…nah, nevermind.

The irony of going on a rant about me not being able to read.

"or at least one of the greatest" is clearly written by me. That's for you since you opened this entire topic back up with "ONE of the greatest". You can argue your reasoning to that all you want. In general, most people use the same basic stats to come to that conclusion. Championships, wins, poles, points. All the stuff someone can read off of wikipedia in a few seconds.

We could talk about best of their era and I'm not sure I would put Lewis as the best of an era either.

Do you see what I mean now when I said you've opened this whole debate up again?

    Well that’s no fun! :D

We’re all adults here. Let them work it out like men. More traffic for the site too ;)

Frankly it’s the only excitement we are going to have around here given Ferrari’s piss poor season so far.

If you want to egg them on, then recognize 1) you will only get them banned, and 2) you may find yourself sucked into it for trolling. GatorFL got involved because other users reported the posts as objectionable. Once that happens, there's a predictable outcome to further posts that are blind to the warning.

Sorry. Maybe I need to use more emojis next time to convey that I’m just joking? :)

Anyways, they are both smart grown men and I’m sure I couldn’t egg them into anything they didn’t want to do on their own.

Sadly I’m not that influential. ;)
