.................that's an anti-ship missile....too big. I'd personally go with an AGM-114 Hellfire missile.....alot smaller.
Joker lap? https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/the-end-for-monaco-a-race-like-this-must-not-happen-again/ar-AA1FvhxT
sure, all nice ideas, but again, it not going to happen. I agree that in normal world the power of opinions could count. However in F1 does does not seem to be the case. What about our call for more engine sound? What about the call for simpler rules allowing the engineers to be really smart, what about of the budget cap nonsence, what about freezing engines. It's all about money and making more. And Monaco it THE place to meet the alike. Do not get me wrong, I hate this race, it is super boring, out of place and the fans all like to see it go asap. The fans however do not have any say.
That's not entirely true. There was one on-track overtake that wasn't shown on the last lap before the Nouvelle Chicane. Nothing to get overjoyed about.
RM Sotheby's - Michael Schumacher’s 2001 Ferrari F2001 has sold in Monte-Carlo just prior to qualifying for the FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAND PRIX DE MONACO 2025 for a remarkable €15,980,000 ($18,165,673.90 US Dollars). Image Unavailable, Please Login
That won't do. It's simply wallpapering over the cracks !!! Even with Wurz' makeover, Monaco would still be unable to meet the requirements other circuits have to observe to obtain a licence.
#1 - I thought for sure they stated practice was on Thursday at the end of the previous race. #2 - Doing two laps on the soft was key to pole + victory. Ferrari should have attempted the same thing. #3 - I was surprised Lando set the track record with the biggest car in F1 history.
1st F1 driver in F1 history at Monaco to do a lap in just under 70sec. in a heavy and Suburban sized F1 car.
I don't see reverse grid working. The teams will just come up with a strategy to beat it, which means going slower.
My understanding is that the 2026 cars are smaller but should accelerate better because they are lighter and have more overall power.
All teams have said the minimum weight is unlikely to be met. And it's not a big saving. They'll still be massively overweight. Yes cars will be slightly smaller but only that...slightly. They'll still be about the length of a Cadillac Escalade.
How crass. You shut up and start driving. You have a seat because we watch. The race is crap and was not missed during COVID. Hulkenberg tells Monaco Grand Prix critics to "stop crying"
This is the reality and has been for sometime. Monaco is not what it was before in terms of F1 business. Per Joe Saward and this has been put out the last 3 years after F1 reorganized under COVID. https://joesaward.wordpress.com/2025/05/28/green-notebook-from-cadaques/ --The glitter is wearing thin. Once this was the place where the big sponsorship deals were done, where everyone wanted to be and where the biggest stars would pop up. But these days Miami, Singapore and even Las Vegas seem to do more business and attract bigger names. These races may not be as glamorous as Monaco, but there is more space to operate and the people are more friendly--
I can imagine Liberty already working to replace Monaco with Las Vega in the near future, as the place where big business comes to iron sponsorship deals, and celebrities can shine. Monaco could be at risk from being dropped from the calendar after 2032, IMO. Las Vegas has more to offer than Monaco becoming too restricted and quaint.
