I received notice yesterday that my SRS entered production. I guess it will be one of the last. The app says that I'll receive the car between July 29 and Oct 30. I don't know how accurate that is given all the Sonderwunch options I ordered. I don't expect to see the car in Q4. In the meantime, some renderings:

Still very tempted to pick one up but I have too many cars already

 

It's not a lot more but it's enough. It's just not obnoxiously loud. I got to drive about a mile before I hit something so I didn't have enough time to really analyze. Now I have to wait a month for a new Mag wheel.

 

Sold and back to a 458 spider. Dynamically not as good as the RS, but more playful and thus engaging. I keep an eye on RS market with intent to acquire again if prices decline over time.

 

Love it! What color is it?

 

Willow Green. Old school 914 color. Wanted the last ICE Porsche two seater to reference the original Porsche two seater as they both will be a classic.

Dang, I think the SRS is a keeper along with the 765. Perhaps add the 458 spider to this group as well.

 

Could be. It’s probably the best Porsche I’ve driven or owned. Transactions are back at msrp now. See where they go now that Porsche has to backtrack on EV only.

 

Although I have always been tempted by Spyder RS since its release, after reading your review of the car, I just secured the allocation, specced the car (no PTS window though), received the commission number, and now wait for its arrival!

I didn't know the demand was actually this crazy at all. Probably it's the last one before all electric for the 718 platform and as the only RS that is convertible.

 

You are going to love it. I just had the JCR titanium exhaust installed but haven't driven it much. I will hopefully be able to spend some time in it soon and can tell you what I think.

 

Please do! My allocation is September and car will arrive in December. Quite excited indeed!

Mine is a September allocation and will arrive in December. My allocation could not make it in PTS since I just decided to pull the trigger few days ago. I also have a 4c Spyder too which I find it too raw for me...

 

A friend of mine prefers it over his 296 gts so he is putting the 296 for sale and says the SRS is a long time keeper.

 

Not surprised. It doesn't have the performance of the 296 but certainly fun to drive.
