    Hey Tifosi

So I had my F12 on the dyno (a while ago) and it came out at „only“ around 680hp instead of the 740hp that Maranello promised.
Has anyone here gone to a tuner to remedy that? Like done a custom ECU tune? What were the before and after results?

It’s not that 680hp ain’t enough, but you surely understand how I feel ;)

    thanks!

I wish - they adjust for powertrain losses, hence the car model is configured on the dyno

All dynos has tolerances and many has different measurements, some brand or types "+", some "-".
Bad adjustment of the car on the dyno could cause slip which can cause wrong measurements.
Wrong adjustment on the dyno roll also can affect the measurement.
Who knows what they exactly adjusted for the powertrain loss, perhaps a wrong adjustment.

To many profis onto this world.

I would never ever try to tune my f12… too risky. Too much power already anyway…

So when it comes to dyno tuning you have to understand what dyno your car was put on. Which type and which brand.

Then they will factor for weather but some are better than others... And... If it's hot you can never mathematically correct for not being able to run any decent amount of timing.

Which dyno run are you looking at. For example... Cars will make more torque say on the 2nd and 3rd pull.

Did you use a hub dyno or a wheel dyno?

What octane fuel did you have?

    What altitude?

Dynos are mostly for measuring the differences in mods like a before and after.

The biggest help would be if you posted the dyno graph along with the air fuel graph. That will tell you if there is anything really left in the tune.
