I really liked the Leno video. Not much in data but it would appear that Chevrolet has developed a car with brute strength and very quick that handles great. Looking forward to later in June (26th) when the first allocations come out.
So far I'm surprised/impressed that car hooks up with no traction problems. Beat sf90 and revulto from dig is amazing. Randy pobst hates lack rear traction and he had no complaints. Wow Other thing is revs and sound. Thought turbo would ruin amazing na z06 sound but ZR1 sounds amazing too. Sooo much better than Porsche going from gt3 to gt2. Love that this car exists and American no less but I'm satisfied w my z06. Can't imagine when I would want extra 400 hp
Top gear didn't seem impressed but they only like mustangs which is bizarre. Gtd will be in trouble w this around
Savage Geese, Hagerty, Leno, ....... MORE please Top Gear . Car and Driver . Motor Trend . TheStraightPipes .
Yup horrible bias. It's not as "sophisticated' as euro competitors. Yeah, right. Europe needs accept their inferior status
It's not as quick as a formula 1 car in a straight line and not as sophisticated from a chassis standpoint as cars costing 2x as much base price. What kind of ridiculous conclusion is that. I agree it's not a hypercar by modern standards however they (Top Gear and Euro media) consistently call the Revuelto a hypercar and the ZR1 is quicker in a straight line and through the corners. It's 100% a super car and the powerplant is a unicorn by today's standards. It's an amazing car. I can't say I desire one, necessarily, but I respect the hell out of it. Does it make a car like the 296 Speciale redundant and silly from a performance standpoint. Yes, because that car will cost 3x as much and have none of the technological and creature comforts of the ZR1. But would I personally get a 296 Speciale or a ZR1, despite the price difference, probably. I couldn't tell you why other than passion. I'll likely end up with neither because the 765 remains the GOAT.
Dear Top Gear, Sorry the entire British car industry is owned by former colonies, Germans, or whoever… You should get over it. The review was a joke, just another pitiful snippy “dam them with faint praise” review we’ve come to expect from British “journalists”. Clarkson’s a DB but at least he owns it. I wonder if the beloved European cars are as fast as an F1 car. That comment alone wins you the “dumbest thing ever said in a car review” award. Seriously…who dings a street car for being slower than an F1 car?
Yes, I was going to do white with blue wheels and then likely wrap it in an eggshell white (like Ferrari's Bianco Fuji) but I keep coming back to this competition yellow. It's so rich, almost like you can dip your hand in it. Reminds me of the yellow on the old Lamborghini Diablo's.
That's an impressive performance, particularly for a car in the $200,000 range (excluding dealer markups). While I understand that Corvettes and Ferraris appeal to very different buyers, I believe this will still motivate all high-end performance car manufacturers to elevate their game
That actually might work if it’s dark enough. I’m committed to a black interior because I’m moving my carbon Recaro’s from my ZO6 to the ZR1 when I get it. These seats have totally changed the driving experience and I will not have a ZR1 without them.
I've watched all the review videos. IMHO Hagerty did the best job, great work by that team. That was an epic production. As for TG comparing to a F1 car? I can't believe they didn't cut that out HAHAHA they are getting dragged so hard across the internet they are gonna need a ZR1 just to escape it. I'm team Ferrari, Lambo, McLaren and Porsche for play cars over the 200K mark BUT that doesn't mean that the ZR1 should be snuffed at. Yes, it's a Corvette at the end of the day but bloody hell it's quite the machine. When the Zora comes out later, Hypercars will be put on notice as well. We should be lucky there are manufacturers still willing to play the horsepower and handling games we all lust for. The days are numbered and I weep for my Daughters future. Live now boys!
