We all have the five switches at the top of the tunnel, left to right being:

    Shock absorber switch

    Rear Fog Light Switch

    Mirror Defroster Switch

    Doors Locking

    Doors Unlocking

They are supposed to be held in firmly by the tunnel switch holder plate.

My Shock absorber and my fog light switch are loose. They sit loosely in the holder plare. The rest are firmly locked into in place. I have no idea why they are loose. And how to best re-secure the switches, what clicks them info the holder plate? I don't want to simply glue them in case I ever need to change them out.

Any help or making them click back into the tunnel and insight is greatly appreciated.

Sometimes the supporting frame for the switches is cracked.

    See item 11

    https://www.eurospares.co.uk/Ferrari/355/355_(5.2_Motronic)/PartDiagrams/131/Tunnel_-_Framework_and_Accessories?ref=018

Note the different part numbers for various F355 models. Unfortunately, they can be quite expensive, depending on the type of frame you need. "GD" refers to UK cars and other RHD cars.
You can try to repair the frame (yourself) if it is broken... or perhaps send it to one of the "sticky" guys to have it repaired.

That is not to say that something isn't broken on your switches.

As a lot of the console panels are interlocked, you may have to loosen the other panels to remove the support frame. Do you know about the screw under the ashtray?

Do you have a gearstick or is your car F1?

I wouldn't push/pull too hard on the switches with the support frame in-situ. I would remove the frame and support it before pushing/pulling.

Shifter trim is broke, seen it 100 times, carefully remove it, pop out the switches and repair the trim.

I have one here you can have for cost of postage only if you like. It’s one I’ve made myself in nylon, so should be more durable than the original ABS. The finish isn’t ideal, hence I’m having them remade, but looks like you have a carbon skin to go over the face anyway, so maybe you don’t care? Drop me a PM and I’ll confirm details.

That is very generous of you. I am in Canada. Any idea on cost to ship?

Can you send me some pics of what you have done? Sounds like an interesting thing you are doing.

    Thank You.

It doesn’t weight much, so shipping wil only be like £15. Drop me a PM.
