Piastri #1 at Mac. Not just because of this race but the way he drove all weekend vs his teammate.

Pretty good race by Charlie given the car is a dog.

The drivers aren't the majority of the problem and have never been for close to 2 decades.

It's the cars and the constant turn-over of TP's.

Charlie is darn good. Ferrari still has yet to give him either the car or the correct strategy. He was sooooooooooooooo close to taking pole at Monaco again. Most likely would have won again if he did. But the car just doesn't have it.

The difference is McLaren now has to admit it internally. Strategically its to Piastri's advantage for the rest of the season.

Has to be said, that Max showed incredible throttle control letting George past then flooring it and ramming into him with the 2 cars' wheels perfectly aligned :p

Reminded me of a karting incident about 20 years ago in Germany. Some local dude (that I had about 50lbs on) couldn't make a clean pass so entirely neglected to brake for a hairpin. He hit me so hard my neck snapped back, luckily only some soreness the next day.
After the race I pushed him up against wall and told him next time he pulled that **** with me I'd put him through the wall.
The next week's track had karts with equalizing weights, and he never got close to me :)

I was also wondering why they told him to give the position back to George. Was that entirely RB's decision?
If anything their contact through T1 seemed like a racing incident.

Yep. Max just applying the rules as stated when going into the turn....axle-to-axle.

Yes, RB made 2 big error decisions.

T1 was a racing incident as well.

Nice podium day for Ferrari with P3 and P6
Surprise of the day with the Hulk at P5
Powered by Honda was a mess with Max leading the dummy drill P7, P10 (Max, way to blow points), P11 and P13

The more reliable, consistent and mostly faster driver, making fewer mistakes is Oscar. The decision matrix is falling his way it appears.

Max gets 3 penalty points added to his superlicense.

Max is 1pt away from a race ban.

Oh, that's going to pizz him off.

I don't know why his engineer didn't explain that Max hit Leclerc and not the other way around. If you have a lit match its not great to try to extinguish it with gasoline.

Wow,Max self destructing at the end there. RB took a risky strategy that looked like it was going to work until that late safety car. Max got shafted but had the worst people response to it, he could have finished 4th or 5th.

Charles drove great again. Lewis really struggling, if he doesn't turn it around soon he may have to just retire at the end of the season. I don't see Ferrari tolerating that kind of performance in the 2nd car for another season. He's had enough time to adjust at this point.

Max didn't have to give the place back to Russell which is what Lambiase told Max to do.

It's better than the Merc, Charles making lemonade with his lemons, Lewis just sucking on them. Honestly the Ferrari is currently looking like the 2nd fastest car. RB might be the 4th or 5th fastest car.

The FIA need to define "give the place back". the place was technically given back (russell was a nose ahead), then max floors it....

They did define it. Both cars going into the turn have to be axle-to-axle which it was.

    (sarcasm mode ON)

What a relief! Turns out I’m not the only one on Ferrarichat who actually gives a damn about a ridiculously talented young guy who — shocker! — didn’t buy his way in, but clawed his way to the top of Formula 1 with nothing but hard work, talent, and sacrifices.

    (sarcasm mode OFF)

    :D:D:D @tifosi12
    : brilliant post, really!
