    Hi,

I'm new here because I bought a RH tail pipe for a 360 Modena which I'm going to mount on a carbon fiber display unit that I'm going to make myself (bit of a hobby).

But I'm wondering if there is a way to check from which car it came off? It has the part number/tag still attached. It contains the following codes:

    178770, which I believe denotes it's a right hander
Ferrari:TP131 R. I don't know what this denotes. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Zeuna Starker - is this the fabricators?
205 7260 201 - is this the number that might tie it back to the car model?

Then at the bottom, and kind of off set are the numbers 99 50.

I'd love to find out the provenance of the pipes, which might dictate the information I'll get engraved/printed on a metal display player affixed to my carbon fiber base/display unit.

I know I'm very new here and apologies if I'm out of order looking for info like this without having contributed.

    Thanks,
    Tom

Thank you for that information. I guess I need to do a bit more research on models produced in 1999. I've seen a few badges printed up and for sale, one particularly that references the modena but says "special addition" but I haven't seen much reference to a "special edition". Was that the Stradale?

The 360 is one of my favourite Ferrari's because of how it shows off the engine through the rear window.

The Challenge Stradale is considered to be the VS (= special version) of the Modena. This exhaust is not a CS exhaust though. The CS was built 2003-2005 and the valve on the CS is on the "inboard" tail pipe.

I would assume that your tail pipe belongs to an early 2000 car.

Thank you again for such a quick response. So if I'm understanding the timeliness correctly, my tailpipe was manufactured I the 50th week of 1999 abd then fitted to an early 2000 model?

    Makes sense.

Yes, the 99 50 is a date code, this factual.

The early 2000 car is my speculation, guessing that the car was not assembled, shipped and registered within two weeks of that 99 50 date code.
