    I would very much appreciate informed comments about converting a 599 from F1 to an EAG gated 6 speed. The price of a real gated 599 is outside of my comfort zone. I own a well loved/serviced 599 that I’m seriously considering have a conversion done. Not for a flip, or anything other than enjoyment. It’s my understanding (other than the pedal), it can all be reversed. Thoughts?

    The Ferraris are set up to accept the manual parts so the conversions are relatively straightforward and reversible. The ECUs are reflashed on most conversions and the BCM settings changed to manual, so those would need to be put back in addition to the mechanical parts in the unlikely case of going back. I don’t think many cars are going to be converted back to the F1 system, even well into the future.
